RE: A Quick Visit to Borbon, Cebu: From the Coast Back to the City, Second Part of our Day Trip with Some Shots Along the Way

This looks like a lovely little trip. There are so many dogs in this place, I wonder are they mostly friendly? I have never heard of miracle fruit or calabash fruit, are they only found in Philippines? How do they taste?

Hello... I am not sure if it's also common in other countries. Here, it is not as common as other tropical fruits like mangoes or bananas, it is not usually sold in local markets in my area either. I guess it's sparsely grown in countryside areas. We don't eat this right away, we still need to boil its flesh, the white flesh becomes blackish in color then we squeeze it so we only get the juice for consumption. The taste is hard to describe hhheh... It's sweet, but also there's that tangy feel. It's like the taste of strong red wine for me... The first time you try it, you get that wrinkling face reaction hehe. Mainly, we drink it for health benefits, not like a fancy drink. 🙂

Oh the dogs were friendly, perhaps they were used to seeing visitors. We just "baby dog talk" them LoL...
Thank you very much for checking this post and for your message🙂💖

Oh, very interesting how you make the drink. I am curious what health benefits it provides...

You've gotta love the baby dog talk ...it is every dogs kryptonite haha

Health benefits such as: help control blood sugar and blood pressure, relieves rheumatism pain, detoxifier. Basing from our personal experience, it helps me not get tired easily and I can sleep more soundly especially that we drink it an hour before bedtime.

Haha... yes, it's every dog's kryptonite; they might have wanted to bark but got weakened by the baby dog talk. Next time, we'll bring treats LoL...
Many many thanks for stopping by😇

Oh, very interesting. If I ever come across this fruit, I will try to make the tea. We could all use a little detox from time to time. Thank you for sharing!

Wow, good to know. It takes some effort though, but we just think of its benefits. Thank you also for your interest and for visiting🙂
