I am still using a grid but only 4 squares. I surprised myself with being able to cope pretty well with much less lines.
I'm honestly kinda excited to see what I'll be able to do after another 50 of these. I feel like my skill's already grown a lot in just 15 days.
Flipping the image horizontally or vertically or both also really helps fight the assumptions the eye makes which is a very important skill in art. Eyes and the brain bits that process vision are honestly kinda terrible at their job sometimes.
