Great start of the week for the #HiveGarden Community.

Today Sunday, February 16, 2025, after doing some shopping for the home I dedicated myself to my lemon plant.

I continue with the mission to save my lemon plant, I follow each of the suggested recommendations, which step by step I am doing with much love and dedication. To refresh a little the work I have been doing, I leave you the following

In previous installments I have reflected what has been happening with the lemon plant and the suggestions received, step by step I have been putting into practice each one of them. The registered ones consist of preparing a Neem macerate, cutting the leaves and dry branches, there is an activity that I did that consisted of washing the leaves with soap and water, I did it as far as I could, this work was not registered. Although the procedure was carried out.

The Neem macerate has already completed the suggested days to be able to use it. Before this, we proceeded with the following activity.

It consisted of covering the trunk with plastic to prevent the ants from climbing up, for this purpose several plastic bags were used, adhesive tape was not used, it was wrapped and knotted until part of the trunk was covered. After doing this cover the plastic with oil, I got a car engine oil. With the help of the hand covered by a plastic glove I proceeded to cover the plastic. (The truth I had not realized that if the ants go up, for me I did not have, and if I saw them going through the trunk, although not in excess).

Having this part already executed, the attention turned to the Neem macerate, removing the black bag that covered the bucket where the preparation was kept. The smell is strong, I decided to use a mouth cap to make the moment a little more pleasant.

I saw that the water did not darken as I expected, I still proceeded to cover my hands to pack the liquid resulting from the maceration.

This liquid with the help of a funnel I emptied it into plastic bottles to be able to keep it until the next step. Perhaps, I will take Monday to start the treatment for seven days and have patience and calm to observe the results.

Once the liquid was bottled, I took it to the place where the bucket was to protect it from the sun. This liquid is the pure one without diluting what I must dilute, since that is another process that must be registered.

Another suggestion is to use potassium soap, this task has been an uphill struggle, I have visited several agricultural and livestock stores, in some they tell me they do not know what it is, in others they tell me to look for it in the pharmacy, so I must continue the search. Also among the recommendations is Neem oil (it is more effective than the macerate), but I have not really asked about it. So, while I am alleviating the disease with the steps I have been taking, the Neem macerate is used and maybe some other cleaning of leaves where I did not get to.

I can say that I feel happy for the work I do, actually I had never done anything like this for a tree, I consider this as learning, experience, and also a moment of relaxation in the midst of so many things that happen in Venezuela and the world.

Thank you @sumaiya777 , thank you very much

welcome friend.

What hard work you are doing to save your lemon plant, I am sure all that love and care will be rewarded with a beautiful healthy lemon plant, how nice how you take care of it 😍

Thank you @elbuhito , that's right...I want it to be prosperous again as it was, with beautiful and abundant crops to share. By the way, for me this is an apprenticeship, besides the relaxation it gives me. Today I started with the preparation of Neem for seven days. Later on, the post with the application of Neem will follow, thank you for being attentive to my lemon tree.
