About a year ago I shared a post about the blooming of the Lady of the Night and at that time my mom asked me why I had not recorded the moment when the flower began to open its petals, honestly it did not occur to me, so after waiting a year for it to bloom again, a bud came out and I saw the opportunity to bring this beautiful flower again, but seeing a different facet of it, the exact moment when it begins to open its petals.

During last winter there was a hard frost that burned several of our plants, many had to be removed and I was afraid that the Lady of the Night would suffer the same fate. Its leaves and stem were burned by the frost and I honestly had no hope that it would bloom again, but a few days ago it surprised me with 4 (four) buds which gave the sign that the plant was still alive and would continue to share its beautiful flower, therefore, the moment to record the second by second of how it opens its petals had arrived.

It was 3 and a half hours of recording, I started around 8pm and the filming ended at 11.30pm, the flower continued opening its petals, but I was sleepy and my phone was running out of battery, so I decided to record it at least to the point where its core could be seen. I watched every 15 minutes how everything was going, those 3 and a half hours I dedicated 100% to filming the flower since it was night and the day was over, the fact that it blooms at night has an advantage and I could be aware of it.

ยก
It is my favorite flower in my garden, it is the most beautiful and picturesque and at least once a year I want to see its beauty, I loved how in fast motion its petals were opening. Without a doubt nature gives us the best works of art and even though I was devoured by mosquitoes for being aware of the flower and waiting a year to make this video, it was worth every second and now I have recorded from minute one how it opens its petals to show all its beauty.
I hope you enjoy those 3 and a half hours summarized in 44 seconds of video!
