This week’s challenge is all about our parents or grandparents who love gardening – their favorite plants, their gardening skills, and how they’ve inspired us to grow our own. For me, that person is my mother, whose hands and heart have always been dedicated to nurturing life in our garden. 🌱🌿🍀
She is now 66 years old. Yet her energy and passion for gardening never fade. Every morning, she walks into our garden with a smile, ready to water the plants and check the vegetables. Her favorites are chili, spring beans, eggplants, tomatoes and leafy greens, because they’re simple to grow and provide fresh food for our meals. Through her eyed, I’ve learned that gardening isn’t just about growing food, it’s about nurturing life, patience and peace.

My mother always reminds me, “If you want to stay away from stress, start planting.” Those words have become my guide. She believes that gardening is the best therapy for a tired soul. Even if I’m busy with work, she encourages me to spend at least fifteen minutes in the garden each day to relax, move and breathe fresh air.
I see myself in her – our shared love for making the backyard bloom with purpose. She taught me that having our own garden means freedom: we can eat healthy, save money, and live simply. What inspires me most is that both my mother and grandmother remain healthy and strong, even without maintenance medicine. They believe that staying active and eating freshly harvested vegetables keep them well.

Through her, I’ve learned that gardening is more than planting seeds on the soil it’s planting hope, love and calmness in our hearts. My mother’s garden continues to flourish and so does the wisdom she’s passed on to me.
To my beloved mother, Thank you for showing me that every seed planted with love grows into a life full of peace and purpose. 💚
