You might be a little on the naughty side of things when you look into something similar to a Hades roguelite, you find sexy anime waifu nuns as selectable characters, and will probably check it out for the appeal. Yet, it somehow goes a little beyond that.

There are aspects of the game that invite challenge, somewhat familiar yet distinguished game design that works well to come on its own. Which sounds shocking coming from a game that is coomer bait in the exact words. Heck, even the presentation, the visual art style, and character designs are really top-notch if you look really into it.

Unfortunately, much like many of these games, they fall under the "games with bad UI" category. This is 2025, how is it that bad UI is still a thing in video games right now? I also wish there were more settings to tinker with, and game design better explained as well.

Choose between Marie, Preiya, and Sain. Different attack styles of melee and ranged, also both being both at times. I picked Marie because, ah, other reasons. No, those other reasons are because of how her attacks seem to stack damage with passives and marks.

Putting her on the test run in my first level was interesting to see, her main attacks short ranged blaster, with sub shooting projectiles that inflict holy damage and accumulate heat. Her main one creates a burn passive, it's also the riskier attack to try. Finally, there's the grenade attack she has. It's a blessing thanks to fast wave clears, otherwise skill issue.

Though, as much as I want to praise her kit, her range attacks are difficult to aim, and I'll definitely have a hit rate of 30% if the game's counting. What I also understood was despite seeming like a Hades clone, it's really not after a few minutes of playing.

Hades is fast-paced, highly versatile and relies on punishing players to learn better. This game combines smart tactics, good survival skills, and well, currency and skill point management. Each stages after clearing enemies have this accumulated blood points, which I can smash with my main attack or use it to unlock a skill. Kind of like Poms of Power.

Gets more complex, your blood points can be used to unlock items and placed on the inventory. There's no sorting option, so good luck. They can be enhanced in other stages, wildly enough, there's a number of RNG factors kind of out of my control at times. But the options they give are pretty good. Who also thought buying garlic could also be used as shield points? There's also silver coins useful in the main nexus after dying or returning.

It seems slow and methodical at first, the game's director afterward notices how powerful I get with my skills, items, and ultimates. Enemies become more concentrated, and while it's not ridiculously fast-paced, it needs me to do have map awareness, and strategize. Enemies also have shields highlighted in gold, they can't be CC'd until that is gone.

No worries, that grenade I throw, and sub range weapon does help a lot since the close main weapon is difficult to use especially in crowded situations. Unless, I unlock crazy new abilities like the damage factor increasing with an AoE effect later on.

Yes, you'll meet the other waifu NPCs from the order, one will sell you garlic, others powerful items, and so on. Gifting them will increase affinity with bonus traits. Then there's this nurse who lets me decide on healing or sacrificing health for increased max HP.

Outside their, well, sex appeal, they do have interesting things to say. Just tolerate the basic nature of their dialogues and then you'll see there's story and world building happening. Even the variety of enemy types have something to say.

I've gotten kind of attached to Marie in a way, it also turns out all the playable characters are half vampires. Something interesting about that, considering there's maybe a causation for the order to keep them. Of course, I died after one boss encounter, and went through the nexus point to earn silvers from achievements and spend them on upgrading my weapons.

Also, Marie's kit is changeable, I can switch up my main, sub, and throwables even. It's insane the replayability that's here. I'm curious to try out the characters too after this. The next boss battle was different, because this was a different looking boss with different attacks.

Yeah, before that, I had these seals to break. One would reward me easy, the others were wave fights I had to finish before collecting those either points or upgrades before starting my fight. It's insane the kind of choices it presents to play my game. I needed it because the boss was challenging.

I only finished the first level, probably didn't spend much. But man, I can easily say I'm hooked. I do wish, however, I knew what I upgraded or abilities unlocked. Again, the UI doesn't help either. It's limited in technical options as well. Really fun game. Sadly no H patch, for those asking.

Sort:

The first time I saw this game I instantly thought that it was an average porn game haha, but it truly looks like it can be nice, I have to finish Hades though, but it sounds like a good option if you wanna try something similar yet different.

Is that Hades with more curves? haha

No wonder you got hooked bro.

I'm glad the community isn't judging me as much. Sometimes it's ok to be a little naughty 😊

Yeah, I can see why you got into this game...
