The Nights That Grew Short as I Grew Older

I remember before that one of my aunt or even my mom told me when I was a child to sleep as much as I could but I couldn't understand them why because all I want is to play, play, and play all day.

It's like going in all my energy on playing something that interests me but my aunt or my mom would scold me because I haven't been sleeping yet.

Well, now, I realize what they meant about sleep because when you grow up, find a job, and working for the job that you were assigned to, you will not get enough sleep because of many things and one of that were talking to friends, stress, and stuffs.

It's also not when you were working, it was also including when you were still a college student because you will get to study hard but in return, you will not get enough sleep because of the exams, projects, and many more.

As I am working now, I realize something important that I need to get enough sleep as much as possible because sleep is now my only heaven as I am as busy as a bee when working from the morning until in the evening.

And as I work every day, I can feel that my sleep is also decreasing and I am also waking up as early as five in the morning which is not my usual routine before working in this corporate job.

Before, I always work up very late and sleeps at around one or two in the evening but when I calculate the hours that I slept, I think it was around six to eight hours.

But now, I can only sleep for maybe four to seven hours depending if I will be very busy within that night but the usual will be six to seven hours.

They said that when you will get older, your sleep time will be decrease like before when you were a child, you can sleep as much as twelve hours or more and then you will get older, the sleeping hours will get lower.

Is it good to sleep for only four to six hours every day, I think, for me, it is really not good to sleep four to six hours every day and the best hours for sleeping is maybe at around seven to ten hours of sleeping every day so that you can relax not just your mind but also your body.

Managing my time is also the best way to do it because it's not about when you sleep but it's about how you manage to go to sleep. Well, I tend to scroll to my social media application until midnight and then wake up at five in the morning and that's only five hours of sleeping, than sleeping after a busy and hard work, maybe I could sleep more as much as possible.
