I was expecting an early bull run when 2025 arrived. But now that we are approaching the last month of the first quarter, it looks like there's still a lot of uncertainty as there were wild swings Bitcoin's price and the alt tokens are still experiencing bearish cycles. But what I like about Hive is that despite these market conditions, you can still build your portfolio of tokens from very promising yet underrated projects. So for 2025, here are my targets to build:
DUO
Target: 2,000

Completion Rate: 55.60%
This is probably my favorite curation project so far. I was lucky enough to be there during the launch of this project. Basically, a portion of the sales they receive from the sale of DUO tokens are used to stake as Hive Power. This is in turn used to upvote supporters who post their content. What's more is that they also drop daily Hive rewards to the top holders. They also help onboard new users to the ecosystem.
GIFU
Target: 1,000,000
Current: 12,161
Completion Rate: 1.22%
GIFU is the newest project from the same people behind The BRO Community. This is a rather peculiar token as it's primarily a meme token that has a utility of GIF creation services. What's interesting is that the team continues to come up with ways to add value to token. They added a curation account and tipping ability. GIFU is also a BSC native token so it is exposed to both the Binance and Hive markets which is a significant advantage, in my opinion.
RUG
Target: 100
Current: 0
Completion Rate: 0%
Finally, we have RUG. Now I've held RUG tokens before but had to pull it all out due to financial constraints at that time. But from my past experience, it is very good. Basically, what they do is turn the seed funds from token sales into liquidity pool investments in various ecosystems outside of Hive. Think of it as having a fund manager. And so far, it provides good returns with the lowest week at not lower than 30% APY. I'm currently not holding any RUG but I plan to accumulate at least 100 by the year's end.
There are a lot more Hive projects that I would like to get myself involved with. But I will focus with just these three for the meantime and diversify more once I complete my targets. Hopefully, this 2025 becomes a prosperous year for the Hive community.
