Today I started reading a book. The name of this book is
It is a book written in English. Many of you must have heard about it. It is a motivational book that tells you the real purpose of being alone. I had been reading this book since morning and it was almost evening and I was lost in how we get lost in talking to our best friends, I mean I didn't even realize the time. My mother hates my habit because she thinks I waste my time reading useless books.
Although children my age don't pay attention to books, my father likes this habit of mine very much, but he also says that you should read fewer books. I don't understand why I am stopped from reading books. Books are like meditation for me. They give me peace. When I am surrounded by tensions from a thousand sides, I sit down with a book and it stops me from all the tension. In this way, I immerse myself in the book and make the things in the book a part of my life.
Today I will tell you my journey of how I became so addicted to books at the age of just 17. I hope you will be very excited to hear this.
My uncle is a librarian. When I was in third grade, I used to go to the library with my uncle and read many books. Now, what can a third grader read? My uncle used to introduce me to books that would interest a third-grader. The first book I read in my life was a book full of pictures. When a person has no interest in reading books, he should start reading books with books that attract him and not bore him.
I don't remember which comic book I read first because I was very young and immature at the time.
At that time I used to live with my grandparents and my uncle not with my parents (due to some personal reasons). My uncle treated me like her daughter. When I was in 4th grade he changed the genre of books to story books. He brought story books for me every single day and helped me read that book told me lessons from the book story and concluded everything for me. The stories might not always be stories that we use to tell kids they might sometimes contain life-changing messages in them. The mysteries, historical, adventures and many more I remember my first ever English adventurous novel that I read myself without getting help from my uncle in understanding things at that time I was in 6th class. "My side of the mountain" by Jean Craighead George. That was the first time I thought about "adventures" and "traveling" At that time I just wanted to travel everywhere in the world want to feel the actual beauty of nature and guess what?? on those days we want to Naran Kagan the most beautiful place in Pakistan. LOVE BEGETS LOVE No doubt my uncle knows everything about what I am thinking what I want and what I am going to do he is like my father I always love them like my real father.
Well, I forgot to tell you that when I was in 5th grade he provided me with many spiritual and religious books these books were not in English most of them were in Urdu that's how I got involved in religious books but at that age, I wasn't able to get those book. For him, this is the best age to connect with your religion but for me, the real age to look around your religion is teenage when you always think everyone is doing wrong to you and you need to understand the reality of WORLD.
When I was in 7th grade of course teenage. what do teenagers love the most? Love, romance, criminology, thrill, action. At this age, I got distracted from books.
BECAUSE BECAUSE BECAUSE
Because I started overthinking and I started missing my parents I always had a huge group of friends who never let me feel down I started watching series, and movies instead and stopped reading books.
When I was in 8th it was lockdown time 2020. No friends. Nothing to do except overthink I start focusing on my spiritual health meditation, paying more attention to prayers, and holy books. At that time I made a very strong connection with Allah. As there is nothing to do in lockdown I encourage myself to read books again.
I started reading again but this time it hit me harder. I start reading motivational books. psychology-related books that help me understand "human physiology" and their thinking and mindsets. I still remember I just got the list of books from interest 🥲🤣
After the lock down, I passed out my eighth grade successfully, and now this year is going to be the toughest I have I went straight to the matric in 9th grade we only had 4 exams out of 7 subjects due to COVID-19 Many people around me thanked about it including my bestie. Due to COVID we were not getting lectures of minor subject and I am missing one of my favorite subject which is Pakistan Studies in which we studied all about Pakistan. All about means "about sub continent partition, constitutions making, martial laws etc" so I start reading books about "Pakistan". Book written by Pakistani authors they might be in Urdu or in English I just want to get knowledge about everything.
