A Good Patient | Random Chamber Talk | Oct 28, 2024 | LiveGood

She was a middle-aged lady. A known case of hypothyroidism, i.e. thyroid hormones are inadequate in her blood. She was on regular medications. The thyroxine tablets, the external thyroid hormone, must be taken every morning on an empty stomach. She was eating the tablets regularly every morning. She wouldn't miss a dose. Her compliance was awesome.

I consider her a good patient because she listens to us. Every three months she visits me. She performs one of the thyroid function tests to assess the thyroid status. Then, I adjust the doses. Before leaving the chamber, she makes an appointment for the next visit. Not just a verbal appointment, she asks for the specific date on which she needs to visit. So, I write down a specific date for her. In her two visits, she didn't miss the specific dates I wrote on her prescription :)

Here all Dr appointments are given by date and time. They do not give verbal appointments.
!LOL

Here in Government hospital, there is date specific appointment. In Private sector, it's not established in such a manner.

Thanks

Being a waiter may not be a very glamorous job
But at least it puts food on the table.
