Good Morning Everyone
As usual on weekend, I make this post as my participation on #saturdaysavers club. It's a weekly update about my saving goals.
In my last #saturdaysavers post, I wrote these two sentence:
On this week Initially I would like to share about why I make a weekly 5 $HBD saving recently, however I have decided to postpone that topic.
and
There is a reason why I increase my weekly HBD saving recently. I think I will make that as one of the topic for the next #Saturdaysavers post.
There are people who like to read my updates and they never leave any comments below... however sometime they poked me over something I wrote on the updates. The most common one is about some tokens, such as "hey why don't you try to put this token on your saving goals?"
However a few weeks ago someone nagged me about the HBD savings I had been doing. Yup the weekly 2,5 $HBD savings. It's more like "bro that's peanuts, you don't have to mention that. It's embarrassing". It's not a short talk but not long too, bottom line is about....
HOW DECENT IS YOUR SAVING?
In my opinion there is no measurement about "DECENT" value in your saving. As long it is adequate and satisfactory, then it is decent. I do not believe that there is an exact value or exact percentages that can define being decent in making financial saving. I know many Financial planners use some of their formula or ratio in their talk and presentation, however I believe everyone has their own condition and this can not be generalized for everyone.
However if we have to put some parameters or variables for being decent in savings, I believe it is not about the amount of savings you should make. Yes saving amount should be picked, but not as sole variables. The same spirit we have in #saturdaysavers, the most important in saving is about build up a good saving habit. So it's not a one time big saving made.
And having a good saving habit is not measured by the amount of saving you could make. I will share two other variables here which I believe mount some weight of importance with the amount of saving.
First is Consistency. Everyone can be lucky and manage to put in one time large amount of saving, but after that? Saving should be something we do based on habit, so it will be done on a regular basis. So it's about consistency, can you make saving next week? the following week? next month? and so on.
Second is strategy or planning. We can call it as saving plan too. It's a set of several activities, starting from defining and setting your goals. Then you start to make some budget and planning about how to reach your goals. There are many components of a saving plan, I can write it alone as a new post of 1000-1500 words.
But in this post let see more about saving goal, you know many people said that A Goal Should be SMART:
- Specific.
- Measurable.
- Achievable.
- Relevant.
- Time-bound.
Well I don't have to write down all of those 5 because those are very commonly known. If you follow my #saturdaysavers posts, you can see I make my goals with those 5 SMART too. Most of us do that, although there are few people who don't.
So back to my main issue here, from the dude who nagged me... your saving amount is important but it is not everything in SAVING
MY HIVE GOALS : HIVE POWER (HP)
My primary goal is to grow my Hive Power as good as possible. A goal must have a target so I have decided that my primary goal is to reach 11.500 Hive Power (HP).
My goal is to have 11.500 HP this year, not an easy one but of course it is very possible. Let's start this one by checking my HP Growth recap right now:
Without power up, I guess my weekly growth will be far below the expected target. I still have 1.220 HP to get in order to make this quarter, Q2 2024, back on the track. We still have 7 weeks this quarter, so anything can happen.
THE HBD
Earlier today, I made a 6,089 $HBD saving
And that saving made my total saving hit 250 $HBD.
I have no target for $HBD savings, but increasing $HBD saving while the market is very volatile, up and down so fast... is something I believe that is good and wise.
MY SECONDARY TARGET : SECOND LAYER TOKENS
My secondary saving targets are HIVE second layer tokens, and at this moment I have set the priority target is $ALIVE token and my goal this year is to get 6.000 Alive Power (AP). AP stands the same as HP, which means the staked $ALIVE.
This is my $ALIVE screenshot from my wallet.
and here is the table of my saving progress:
Date | Previous AP | Current AP | Target | Growth | AP Rank |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Q1 2024 | 331 | 1.179 | 6.000 | +848 | 137 |
6 April 2024 | 1.179 | 1.240 | 6.000 | +61 | 130 |
13 April 2024 | 1.249 | 1.474 | 6.000 | +225 | 118 |
20 April 2024 | 1.474 | 1.769 | 6.000 | +295 | 100 |
27 April 2024 | 1.769 | 1.885 | 6.000 | +116 | 95 |
4 May 2024 | 1.885 | 1.899 | 6.000 | +14 | 92 |
11 May 2024 | 1.899 | 1.918 | 6.000 | +19 | 94 |
My rank is dropping right now, well I guess that's the consequence for reducing or eliminating some of the budget I use to purchase my second layer tokens. As I have mentioned on my previous #saturdaysavers post, right now my first layer #mygivegoals comes as the priority.
OTHER TOKENS ON MONITOR
Other than $ALIVE, I am saving these tokens too
Tokens | Status | Last Period | Today | Target | Growth | Staking Rank |
---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
$NEOXAG | staked | 11.951 | 12.044 | 100.000 | +93 | 260 |
$THGAMING | staked | 198.791 | 199.439 | 200.000 | +648 | 18 |
$PIMP | staked | 2.228 | 2.266 | +38 | 130 | |
$LEO | staked | 237 | 237 | 1.000 | ~ | 1.050 |
$PGM | staked | 7.983 | 7.995 | 8000 | +12 | 5 |
$PSX | staked | 2.026 | 2.050 | +23 | 15 |
This week, the same as my previous week, I haven't spent any HIVE on purchasing these second layer tokens. So yeah, expect no special or significant accumulation on these ones.
