Howdy Guys
Welcome again to my weekly Splinterlands post. Every week I make two splinterlands post here on HIVE, just to share the fun I have with this Game. Usually I share something fantastic, but today I will share a simple topic that some of us here have forgot about it.
I play mostly with Chaos Legion Edition, you know it, it is the cheapest of all LoL. Even at this point I do not invest any significant amount on Rebellion edition, although I have a few of them. So Today I will share you guys what Rebellion Cards I like most, indicated by how often I bring and deploy them into the battle field.
Before I start, I need to remind you all about these things:
- I am a casual player here, so I do not seek highest win rate nor I feel I am one of the best players around. I share based on my thought and experience, so there are possibilities that they are wrong or something else can be better than what I say.
- The card I mention later on are not the best or the most effective one. It is just they fit well with my favorite meta. I believe this will differ for each of us here.
- I play casually so I won't endorse Legendary rarity cards. They are awesome however let's be fair here... They are expensive. Sometime I do not see endorsing the most expensive one is a good way in Play-to-earn games. This is not pay to win anyway, although you can treat it that way.
- I play with Silver to Gold league level cap Summoners, So I want judge or pick any cards based on their max level attributes and abilities, however I pick them based on the corresponding level I could play them.
Ok that's my reminder or disclaimer, then let's see which Rebellion cards are my favorite here:
FIRE ELEMENT
Let's start with fire element, and my favorite is Gobalano Soldier. It's a hard choice because I like Torch Vizier a lot, maybe I like it better but the fact is that I more often usse Gobalano Soldier than Torch Vizier.
Maybe because Gobalano Soldier can play very well in little league rulest (below 4 mana unit), however it is not the sole reason. I like to use Tarsa and focus on Sneak Attack. Gobalano Soldier Abilities which are Ambush (hit first before round 1 starts) and Scatter (destroy armor) always make way for my sneak melee attackers which mostly lead by Tenyii Striker.
Definitely not a superior unit, but It becomes my favorite because it supports my favorite fire element meta. I do realize that later when Chaos Legion deck is gone to Wild Format, Gobalano Soldier can be not as effective as today.
Water Element
This is a no brainer choice. Anasth Soothsayer stands out the most from common-rare water element selection. She heals and she cleanses, which is a good combination which negate opponent affliction. I think I do not have to say more about this one.
Earth Element
Earth is the most hard to pick, it is not because there are some that are good, but it is the opposite. I see earth Rebellion is the weakest however their legendary summoner is the strongest in Rebellion Edition.
Ok based on what I use all this time, I could tell that Blackmoor Nymph is my most used card here. There are 3 reason why I often use her:
- low mana requirement (3) and decent health. She could be a good meat wall.
- Magic attack... I have to admit it is hard for me to move on from obsidian who boosts Magic damage. I know this will be a trouble some next year.
- Immunity. She is good and will be picked during noxious fumes (poison ruleset)
I think those 3 are the only reasons why I pick her.
Death Element
Chaos Jailer is my favorite here and I believe whoever you pick for the summoner, he could fit in well in your line up. This card is a unique one because he is attacking and debuffing at the same time. I need his slow ability but his poison ability is very effective too.
The only weakness he has is his damage, he is far behind Deeplurker. 1 melee damage won't be a threat to any target. However I still often found him terrorizing my opponent backline despite his lack of killing power.
A great card to choose, too bad it is pricey.
Life Element
Meriput Magician is actually my most beloved Rebellion life element card. I always bring her in my selection however.... my favorite and most use one is this Anachron bolter. There a couple of reason despite favoring a lot on Meriput Magician, I still go with Anachron Bolter.
The first one is similarity issue. Meriput Magician can be replaced by Venari Chrystalsmith, however one can replace Anachron Bolter. Anachron has headwinds, and none of life element cards have it. Even I do not play Anachron Bolter that has Repair ability, it is still irreplaceable due to his unique attributes and abilities.
Double Attack but not a double strike. I believe all units that have two type of attacks are special. Anacrhon Bolter is one of them, so he is special.
Neutral Element
There is no common - rare rarity for Dragon Element, so the last one is from Neutral element. From this element the choice is of course the most expensive one, Moxian Rebel. It is the most expensive one not because it is the unique, one of a kind in all edition... at least until this point of time, don't know in the future...
a small mana unit, 4 mana cost, with weapon training... It is hard to beat that feature, and to put it more... his attack is magic attack, not range or melee.
Although it is expensive, I still use him by renting from others. This card is irreplaceable, it can open up a few new meta that only Moxian Rebel can initiate them.
