My dCity Journal - After A Month, Inflating Income Still My Biggest Challenge

in FreeCompliments22 days ago

Hello there, fellow citizen of dCity

It's been almost two week since my last weekly dCity post. Actually I haven't been away from this game, it's just I am busy to make any post. and one more thing, we had Hive Power Up Day this week, that even drained my liquid $HIVE, so I haven't got enough fund to buy $SIM... so yeah, nothing much I could do with my dCity account then.

In the last post, I made a lesson about LEARN AND UNDERSTAND THE DEPTH OF YOUR DCITY INCOME. It's a big topic and I think I haven't chewed it correctly. There is a lot of things we can discuss part by part from it. In fact in this post, I still doing the same with before, regarding my dCity is having an Income instability due to having too many young citizen.

I have sold a few young citizen for a quick fix, but I think I should make something else rather than keep dumping them. So this time, my update will be what I do now to fix my dCity.

Anyway I have made several posts about dCity before, and I made some good value one, which I shared my experience there, and you might want to check them out if you haven't read them:

My Dcity Now

So this was my dCity earlier today:

image.png

I could get 54 $SIM from tax refund, but I got only 36 $SIM. I lost 18 $SIM at this time, all because my dCity could not get enough INCOME, some got eaten by SIM SUPPORT due to having too many young citizen.

image.png

By ranking, mine is dropping a lot. My Income rank sits on #273. Actually it's bad, same with the last post. So I have to increase more income now. I could take the easiest route, by dumping some young citizen, but I have committed to keep growing my dCity until the 90 days of playing.

So here we go, BUILDING MORE INCOME !!!

BUILDING UP MORE INCOME

To get income, my dCity needs more population. So today is more about getting the right way in buying population. In general there are 3 ways to get population

  1. Buy NFT building, apartment and houses.
  2. Buying Citizen directly.
  3. Pump your popularity.

None is better against each other, everything has their own pros and cons. However at my size here, I need to be effective as I could, which mean I have to take the cheapest route.

WHAT'S THE CHEAPEST ROUTE?

Before I pick the cheapest route, I must define my own budget first. I do not have enough $SIM so I need to swap some of my newly got $HIVE into $SIM first.

image.png

There, I get a fresh 10k $SIM from the swap. It's not something that massive, less than a buck actually. But I think this should suffice to get what I need to fix my dCity.

The Cheapest Citizen:

earlier I saw some artists were sold at ridiculously cheap price. 745 SIM for 2 population, that's crazy. But I had one big problem here.

image.png

After I wrote this, I click bought, someone else aped them all in. That's a bummer. So I had to pick another option as the cheapest.

image.png

Luckily I could get this workers at 503 $SIM. those were the pair, so each card would give me 2 population. It means that I buy 252 $SIM for each population.

ok that's the cheapest, but let's compared with NFT building

The Cheapest Building

From all building, I see the cheapest one today is the basic home

image.png

I will get 4 population by spending 2897 $SIM. So I would need to spend around 750 $SIM from purchasing NFT building. that's 3x more expensive than buying those workers. It's a no brainer for me, I should go with the citizen.

If the gap is less than 100%, I would go with the building. Building is more stable, they don't get old or die like the citizens. So long term, stability might be the issue. Not sure for now, I just played less than 2 months anyway.

What I Bought

So there are the NFT I bought today:

image.png

image.png

9 cards for 8.075 $SIM. They give me 10 population and 32 Income, which I think this is the best one I could get with less than 10k SIM today. What do you think? do you have some feedback for me? please share it on the comment section

THIS IS HOW MY CITY LOOKS AT THE END OF THE DAY

image.png

I manage to get back my maximum tax refund, but I know it won't be long until they drop again. I have a deficit 18 SIM INCOME and I recover it by getting 32 SIM. It means I only have excess 14 SIM as my backup, when I get around 5 young citizen, my tax refund will start dropping again.

But that's different issue, it's a challenge for next week. Right now I should be happy with I have today.

image.png

My income rises significantly, and now my dCity sits on rank 253. I see @arveno on 256 and @ramadhanight on 258. Looks like I manage to leapfrog my friends again, but I am pretty much sure they won't let this condition for long. Tomorrow or some days ahead, they surely will do something to jump over me again.

Do your best buddies, because I might jump high again next week.

and that closes my post today, see you next week...
