Editing and releasing shorts about HAF from interview with blocktrades (more to come)
Worked with @BrianOfLondon to get Hive-Nectar ready for his uses.
Attended and recorded CoreDev meeting, validated Hive-Nectar work so far: https://www.youtube.com/shorts/iRjTxQS8ALk
Team Cryptoshots (@cryptoshots.play)
The team shared updates on their game development as well as DePin infrastructure project.
Design:
- New health shot ready to be integrated in the game (although still high on polygon count)
- Health pickup mesh redesign in progress. AI prototype.
Game Dev:
- Implemented and undergoing code review, testing and release:
- As requested by players, the FFA game mode is now based on kill count again rather than KDR. Priority order for ties: Kills → K/D → Deaths → Score
- AR legacy in modern weapons only room issue -> unable to reproduce so we added a Room Info page UI (ESC button)
- In Friendly Fire, killing a teammate with any weapons was showing a kill notification, registering the kill, and adding score to the team. This has now been fixed.
- Host Room UI updated – separated settings that default from the ones used in the last match you created from those that default to specific values.
DePin Infrastructure:
- Addressing limitation of @RunOnFlux UI that forces us to create 3 instances of our Docker container. Investigating if it’s indeed possible to create a single one using a manual deployment, or switching to other #DePin solutions.

What is Swarm of Swarms?
This is a new series of blogs where we will share updates from the Hive development community. The content is meeting notes from a virtual developer meeting called the Swarm of Swarms (sticking to the Bee Hive theme). We have been doing this for around 30 weeks, without posting the content on-chain or elsewhere. Starting to broadcast more broadly, I hope everyone can have more visibility into all the Hive project development.
The Swarm of Swarms is a virtual gathering where blockchain developers building on the Hive network converge to share project updates, insights, and knowledge. This decentralized meet-up brings together a collective of innovators and visionaries from the Hive ecosystem, specifically those developing applications and use cases on the blockchain. As participants join the Swarm, they are exposed to ideas, solutions, and experiences, allowing them to expand their professional networks and gain a deeper understanding of the rapidly evolving Hive ecosystem. Through this virtual convergence, the Swarm of Swarms aims to cultivate a culture of open communication, mutual support, and collective growth among its members.
I send out weekly reminders to the participating development teams, encouraging them to share their progress in Mattermost, the ~Swarm of Swarms channel. Other developers can come and read this channel to learn what other teams are working on. The hope is that the open communication inspires more side conversations and collaborations. 👏 I appreciate the development team leaders who take a few minutes each week to share their latest achievements. There is room for more participation, and the coffee is free.
p.s. this is a new blog series. Please tell me how to improve this, and please forgive any mistakes. We will iterate!
