Desde que yo era niña siempre me ha gustado ver películas y videos de terror, incluso recuerdo que en una ocasión una de mis hermanas y yo nos ganamos un buen regaño de nuestro papá porque ambas estábamos viendo una película de terror pero ninguna de las dos quería ir a apagar el televisor porque nos daba miedo, así que lo dejamos encendido 😂 pero éramos masoquistas, así que siempre estábamos viendo otras películas, series de televisión o leyendo libros de terror, y actualmente, bueno, los canales de este tipo que han ido surgiendo en las redes sociales, en especial youtube, no se quedan atrás, al contrario, el genero terror ha evolucionado mucho, así que estos canales de verdad generan bastante miedo, lo que los vuelve aún más interesantes.
Ever since I was a child, I've always loved watching horror movies and videos. I even remember once one of my sisters and I got a good scolding from our dad because we were both watching a horror movie, but neither of us wanted to turn off the TV because we were scared, so we left it on 😂. But we were masochists, so we were always watching other horror movies, TV series, or reading horror books. And nowadays, well, the channels of this type that have been popping up on social media, especially YouTube, are not far behind. On the contrary, the horror genre has evolved a lot, so these channels really generate a lot of fear, which makes them even more interesting.
En esta ocasión quiero hablarles de El Mundo de Cabeza, un canal que conocí gracias a mis hijas @bethyjade y @mairene1, las cuales son mis compañeras a la hora de ver este tipo de material, porque son tan masoquistas como yo 😄, pero nos encanta este canal porque está realmente tan bien producido que más bien parece un programa de televisión de estilo documental. La intro es muy profesional y siempre comienza con el narrador susurrando las siglas del canal, lo cuál es inevitable de repetir con tu propia voz "DKB" 😂. Se trata de recopilaciones de videos de todo tipo pero siempre orientados hacia el terror, lo raro o lo paranormal, (videos de fantasmas, casas embrujadas, gente actuando de forma errática o poseídas) estos metrajes ponen los pelos de punta precisamente por el contexto de que son reales, pero también la musicalización y la narración de los videos ayudan a generar terror en el espectador.
This time I want to tell you about El Mundo de Cabeza (The World Upside Down), a channel I discovered thanks to my daughters @bethyjade and @mairene1, who are my partners in crime when it comes to watching this kind of content, because they're just as masochistic as I am 😄. We love this channel because it's so well-produced that it's more like a documentary-style TV show. The intro is very professional and always starts with the narrator whispering the channel's initials, which you inevitably end up repeating in your own voice: "DKB" 😂. It's a compilation of videos of all kinds, but always focused on horror, the strange, or the paranormal (videos of ghosts, haunted houses, people acting erratically or possessed). These videos are truly chilling precisely because they're based on real events, but the music and narration also contribute to the viewer's terror.
Entre los videos del canal existen algunos que están dedicados única y exclusivamente a expedientes de los Warren (si ustedes saben algo del genero terror o están familiarizados de alguna manera con esto quizá sepan quienes eran Ed y Lorrain Warren) ellos era una pareja de investigadores en el mundo de lo paranormal, ella era psíquica y él un demonólogo certificado por el vaticano. Ambos tienen un expediente bastante importante, lleno de muchas historias aterradoras que hielan la sangre. Algunas de estas historias incluso fueron usadas para hacer películas como El Conjuro, pero otras historias menos conocidas fueron documentadas en este canal a través de videos nutridos con entrevistas y testimonios. Uno que llamó particularmente mi atención hace referencia a la leyenda del temible Hombre encorvado, les dejaré el video por aquí para que vean de que se trata.
Among the videos on the channel are some dedicated solely to the Warrens' case files (if you know anything about the horror genre or are familiar with it in any way, you might know who Ed and Lorraine Warren were). They were a couple of paranormal investigators; she was a psychic and he was a Vatican-certified demonologist. They both have a rather extensive file, full of terrifying, blood-curdling stories. Some of these stories were even used to make movies like The Conjuring, but other, lesser-known stories were documented on this channel through videos enriched with interviews and testimonies. One that particularly caught my attention refers to the legend of the fearsome Crooked Man; I'll leave the video here so you can see what it's about.
Otra serie de videos que me pareció muy interesante están basados en una rara aplicación que surgió hace algún tiempo, no sé si fue el año pasado, o hace un par de años, se llama Randonáutica, pero lo que realmente da miedo de ese asunto es que según lo que desees la aplicación te enviará a lugares desconocidos y solitarios donde el ambiente se vuelve pesado y tiene vibras raras. Es como si te leyera el pensamiento o algo así, no sé si logro definir muy bien el contexto pero en cualquier caso por aquí les voy a dejar uno de esos videos para que puedan entender a qué me refiero exactamente.
Another series of videos that I found very interesting is based on a strange app that appeared some time ago—I don't know if it was last year or a couple of years ago—called Randonautica. What's truly frightening about it is that, depending on your wishes, the app will send you to unknown and secluded places where the atmosphere becomes heavy and has strange vibes. It's as if it reads your mind or something. I'm not sure if I'm explaining the context very well, but in any case, I'll leave one of those videos here so you can understand exactly what I mean.
