Siempre que camino por la ciudad disfruto contemplar el arte en cualquiera de sus manifestaciones, sobre todo el que suele representarse sobre superficies callejeras, las paredes se transforman en lienzos donde artistas urbanos exponen sus talentos. Es allí donde me quedo admirando el diseño y las destrezas de aquellos que con sus graffitis embellecen y conceden otra vida a paredes descoloridas, ellos tienen la capacidad de conmover la fibra más sensible.

Whenever I walk through the city I enjoy contemplating art in any of its manifestations, especially the one that is usually represented on street surfaces, the walls are transformed into canvases where urban artists expose their talents. It is there where I stay admiring the design and skills of those who with their graffiti beautify and give another life to faded walls, they have the ability to move the most sensitive fiber.

Ese día salí a realizar algunas diligencias y cuando me desocupé, aproveché para dar un paseo matutino. En este momento me percaté de un graffiti muy atractivo, una pieza de arte llamativa ubicada en la entrada de un taller mecánico. La imagen principal era un tiburón musculoso (humanizado), el cual era casi del tamaño de la pared y tenía elementos metálicos, una fusión del mundo marino con la mecánica.

That day I went out to run some errands and when I was free, I took the opportunity to take a morning walk. At this time I noticed a very attractive piece of graffiti, an eye-catching piece of art located at the entrance of a mechanic shop. The main image was a muscular shark (humanized), which was almost the size of the wall and had metallic elements, a fusion of the marine world with mechanics.

Este tiburón, que hace recordar a la caricatura Street Shark, tenía la mandíbula con sus grandes dientes al descubierto. El gesto lo denotaban feroz, tal como si pudiera hacer frente a cualquier reto, además de sus vistosos músculos tenía varias herramientas a su alcance. Los colores verde y azul dominan el mural, la gama cromática combina muy bien y concede armonía a la obra.

This shark, reminiscent of the cartoon Street Shark, had its jaw with its big teeth exposed. The gesture denotes ferocity, as if he could face any challenge, in addition to his showy muscles he had several tools at his fingertips. The green and blue colors dominate the mural, the chromatic range combines very well and gives harmony to the work.

Mientras que en el tiburón resalta el color blanco con el azul, con algunos interesantes efectos de luz. En el contexto destaca el fondo verde, que presenta el limo, con muchas burbujas y algas, construyendo con estos elementos el paisaje submarino. Arriba colocaron el nombre del local con letras: "Pa q' Noel", identificación del taller mecánico.

Esta obra es creación de Memín, el más reconocido artista del graffiti que vive en Cumaná. Sus obras se pueden observar a lo largo de toda la ciudad, desde negocios de comida rápida hasta en la carrocería de los autobuses se advierten los diseños de Memín, cuyo estilo es único.

This work is the creation of Memín, the most recognized graffiti artist living in Cumaná. His works can be seen throughout the city, from fast food stores to the bodywork of buses, you can see Memín's designs, whose style is unique.

Admito que siento admiración y fascinación por el arte callejero, tiene el potencial de embellecer y mostrarnos otro rostro de la ciudad. Si bien Cumaná es cuna de grandes pintores y talentosos artistas, el arte y la cultura radican en la percepción, el estilo y el enfoque estético.

I admit that I feel admiration and fascination for street art, it has the potential to beautify and show us another face of the city. Although Cumaná is the cradle of great painters and talented artists, art and culture lie in perception, style and aesthetic approach.

Sin duda, los nuevos murales que me encuentro reflejan obras creativas e inspiradoras, bajo un concepto innovador y moderno.
