I've played around with various platforms. I've not got into Instagram and Tiktok. I more or less gave up Twtr when Musk took over as I don't trust the guy and it seems I was right about him. I prefer more open platforms anyway, so Hive (in the original form) appealed. I use Mastodon too as there are interesting people there. Youtube is less of a social thing and it just has so much content. As for FB, it's really pissing me off these days with crappy ads and 'suggested' content. I only use it to keep in touch with friends.

I only really use messanger to chat with people, I'm really close to just closing my FB page down completely because I really don't like it. All I need to do is get all of my pictures off there.

Why don't you like Musk? I'm not a fanboy about him or anything, but there are a couple of things I like about him, (namely calling out the Irish government recently)

At the same time though I don't know what to make of him.

I think Musk has extremist views and is making the platform more accepting of them. The boss of a social platform needs to be very careful. I think it will lose him money, but he may not care. A lot of other people have left already.

That's a fair point, he does seem pretty out there with his ideas, and has an army of loyal people behind him.

It most likely will loose him money, but at his level I don't it bothers him.
