In this discussion, I’ll share a powerful combo strategy that thrives under certain conditions. One particular rule set that recently caught my attention is Wands Out, where only magic units—including hybrid magic attackers—can be deployed. This unique restriction shifts battle dynamics, making team composition and ability synergy more crucial than ever.
For battles under the Wands Out rule set, one of the best common summoners to use is Immortalis from the Earth splinter. His abilities provide a strong defensive boost while also countering opposing magic attackers, making him an excellent choice for this format. By carefully selecting supportive units and leveraging Immortalis' abilities, players can maximize survivability and disrupt enemy strategies, increasing their chances of victory.

In the Wands Out rule set, where only magic units can be deployed, and with a relatively low mana cap. I carefully selected my lineup to utilize the synergy well. I chose Immortalis as my summoner and deployed Goblin Psychic in the second position, with Blackmoor Nymph as my tank. Since Earth Splinter was active, I took the initiative to use Immortalis, aiming for a balance between sustain and magic offense. The lead victory to this strategy was Blackmoor Nymph’s Immunity, which allowed Goblin Psychic to heal it freely without worrying about negative effects like Affliction. This setup ensured a durable frontline while still dealing consistent magic damage.
However, this strategy had potential weaknesses. If my opponent had used Scattershot magic attackers, Sneak magic damage dealers, or simply had a higher magic damage output, my Blackmoor Nymph might not have survived long enough to sustain the fight. Fortunately, my opponent lacked these threats, and my strategy worked as planned. The synergy between Blackmoor Nymph’s immunity and Goblin Psychic’s healing created a strong defensive core that allowed me to control the battle and secure victory.
How does their synergy create a powerful battle advantage?
In the battle I shared, I took advantage of Blackmoor Nymph’s Immunity, making it an ideal tank, while Goblin Psychic provided consistent healing each round. Since Immunity prevents negative status effects, Blackmoor Nymph remained unaffected by debuffs like Affliction, ensuring that Goblin Psychic’s healing was uninterrupted. This synergy created a strong advantage in the Wands Out ruleset, where only magic attackers were allowed, and with Earth Splinter active, the strategy proved highly effective. Additionally, Immortalis strengthens this synergy by reducing enemy magic damage and adding Void, making Blackmoor Nymph even more durable against incoming magic attacks. Since most enemies in this rule set rely solely on magic, this setup allows my team to outlast opponents while steadily dealing damage. If an opponent doesn’t have a way to break through this healing loop, such as high burst damage or targeted backline attacks, they will struggle to eliminate my tank, ultimately leading to my victory.
Have you discovered any unexpected combos that dominate the battlefield?
The only unpredictable factor is if the opponent uses powerful, newly released, or high-value cards that I don’t have, as these often provide a significant advantage in battle. However, the core strategy remains straightforward—leveraging strong card synergies and effectively utilizing the given ruleset, even when facing high-tier opponents. I can't exactly pin unexpected combos that dominate the battlefield because most battles are based on experience. Especially if I saw a potential of the card or been used in battle and I was defeated. then, I find a way to use and utilize that card as I saw that potential abilities useful in the battle.
