Good day everyone splinterlands community, today I'll be sharing a battle strategy with Shock Trooper in Back to Basics rule sets. A battle in which only stats matter because no Abilities are useable in this rule set, usually magic dominates this battle as it is versatile in every position and this highlights Shock Trooper in action on this rule set. The Electrovolt Zappack, invented by Lash Stagmuck, is the weapon wielded or use by the Shock Trooper. I found this piece of lore interested, which inspired me to incorporate it into my content title idea. Its unique drawback ability to deliver a powerful electric shock not only to its wielder but also to those nearby adds an intriguing element with powerful weapon there also a drawback. Now with Back to Basic Rule set, Shock Troopers can now use full potential damage of Electrovolt Zappack.

Lore:

Lash Stagmuck, the scavo technomancer renowned for his role in creating the runi, is hard at work on his next invention: the electrovolt zappack.
This handy contraption consists of a backpack infused with mana, water, and bottled lightning, used to empower a weapon with electrically charged water magic.
Rebel forces have been field testing Lash’s electrovolt zappack. Unfortunately, the initial prototypes have a tendency to deliver a painful shock to the user—as well as everyone around them.

Shock Trooper is an Epic Water-element Rebellion reward card, obtainable through the Glint Shop, including Chests and Epic Card purchases. It highlights impressive stats with 5 magic damage, 4 speed, and 6 health, along with the Electrified and Swiftness abilities. While its high stats value makes it a powerful unit, its Electrified ability comes with a drawback—all allied units take 1 damage at the start of Round 2 and each following round, so strategic planning to utilize this overpowered stats and well position is needed.

Shock Trooper is an ideal choice in the Back to Basics rule set because it naturally has high base stats without relying on abilities. Since Back to Basics removes all abilities from units, cards that depend heavily on passive effects lose value, while those with strong base attack, health, and speed become top-tier picks.

I'll be using my main account this time, showing how to deploy a strategy with Shock Trooper on a specific rule set (Back to Basics).

The battle has Equal Opportunity, Aim True, and Back to Basics rule sets with a 15 mana cap, and the Earth and Death elements were inactive. I chose Kelya Frendul as my summoner to maximize stats value both armor and speed while keeping mana costs low, making Shock Trooper my primary damage dealer. My strategy focused on protecting Shock Trooper by placing it in the back position, ensuring it survived for several rounds, especially with Equal Opportunity distributing attacks across all units that are targeting the lowest health. Proper positioning was important to my lineup, which consisted of Cruel Sethropod, Halfling Refugee, Torrent Fiend, Hardy Stonefish, Shock Trooper, and Igor Darkspear respectively.

My opponent also used Kelya Frendul summoner and a line-up of Cruel Sethropod, Halfling Refugee, Pelacor Bandit, Shock Trooper, and Torrent Fiend respectively. The opponent's strategy was similar, but the opponent relied more on melee units, including Pelacor Bandit, which, given the rule set, might have been a questionable choice. Perhaps the opponent's goal is to take advantage of speed, but Shock Trooper remained the key unit for both teams.

By Round 2, my team’s superior advantage on numbers overwhelmed the opponent's Shock Trooper, securing an advantage. It became clear that the opponent's Shock Trooper was struggling against the number of my units deployed in the battle.

The battle ends in Round 4, proving that my Shock Trooper strategy executes well under the Back to Basics rule set when positioned effectively...

though if the opponent had used stronger cards, the outcome could have been different...

Even the strongest was executed when outnumbered.
*** Strategy, well-position, and well-pick cards are always won through.***

I'm slowly getting there to fully max my common card rebellion followed by rare, epic, and legendary.

I still recommend to as they have energy, and energy is useful to grind both glints and SPS.
