Good day everyone splinterlands community, zactian here. Today I'll blog about another weekly challenge, Battle Mage Secrets, and share my strategy.
What Account Use
I'll play my main Account (IGN: zactian). I will reveal my primary technique in this rule-set Diamond League level.
Challenge Rule set
Explosive Weaponry is the challenge, which all units gain the Blast ability.

Explosive Weaponry
INTO THE BATTLE:
Rule Set
- All units gain the ability of Blasts.
- All units gain the ability of Shield.
- Only Rare and Common are usable in this battle.
Recommended summoner to use Explosive Weaponry for this match:
In this case, I recommend Conquerer Jacek summoner for dominating speed and best combo with Scattershot and Piercing ability for Blasts rule sets. Lily Shieldpaw for utilizing healing at the back or any element with Reflection Shield to protect its adjacent unit. Since it also has a Rise of the Commons with 52 mana-cap, I don't have stronger Rare and Common in this fire element so I stick to the water element where I can choose Possibilus the Wise summoner combo with Diemonshark first position and second position for Coastal Sentry and I can fill up a stronger deck in this battle on 52 mana-cap with Explosive Weaponry.
Note: I only have limited cards but they are useful in some rule sets and I will try my best to win with existing cards. So if you want a high chance of winning, I advise you to rent or buy useful or stronger cards for most rule sets.
Possibilus The Wise
- adds 2 health to my team units with Trample and Reach abilites.
- Ideal choice for Rise of the Common Rule Set because I can put Diemonshark and Coastal Sentry as the best combo for this summoner and add combo for sneaky attacks Deeplurker. Since I want to utilize this summoner's abilities, I prioritize using the melee damage for attacking the first position lineup of the enemy. And a good combo for Coastal Sentry Double strike ability with Blasts from the rule set Explosive Weaponry.

My Lineup
First position - Arkemis the Bear
- Acts as a tank in the first position because of decent health which can act as a tank, and it can have Armor ability that can support my team adding 2 armor, this is a good unit compared to Diemonshark.
Second position - Coastal Sentry
- A Second position for Coastal Sentry, I chose this for an extra damage tank with Reach ability from my summoner Possibilus the Wise and a basic combo for Diemonshark and Coastal Sentry for this summoner.
Third position - Deeplurker
- A 5 melee damage with a chance of applying poison to enemy units, this is good for the Main damage of my team.
Fourth position - Supply Runner
- Acts as a support to my team because of speed from Swiftness Ability and Strengthen for extra 1 health to my team.
Fifth position - Swamp Spitter
- Additional support unit to my team with Repair Ability to repair the armor of my team and Giant Killer ability that is helpful for it can do massive damage to the opponent if it hits more than 10 mana cost a unit.
Last position - Venari Wavesmith
- Support and adds extra armor to my team, I put this on the last position because I fell like the opponent will also use water element and Deeplurkerm and made this unit an easy meal for enemy Deepluker and especially to avoid the blasts in the middle part of my team line up.
Analyzing Battle
The enemy uses Helios Matriarch summoner in the dragon element and the reason the opponent uses this is because it wants to use Gladius Card which is Isgald Vorst and as you can see it has Piercing, Opportunity, and Bloodlust a perfect combo for Blasts ability from Explosive Weaponry rule set. The opponent uses Vruz to boost Isgald Vorst and Deepluker which my Deepluker will attack this unit Vruz making it Martyr's ability to trigger.😅 The opponent did well in positioning the lineup and utilizing the rule set of Weaponry Ability, and I can see that the opponent Arkemis the Bear acts a shield in the blasts because of Massive health and armor support. Let's see if my Arkemis the Bear and Coastal Sentry can Execute opponent Diemonshark in an early match.
Effective or not?
Well, that's quite an easy battle, I dominate the opponent in speed and armor difference giving me a higher chance of winning this battle. The opponent was focused on Isgald Vorst for I think the main damage of the opponent team, and with my Arkemis the Bear and Coastal Sentry with Posssibilus the Wise line-up I was able to execute easily the opponent Diemonshark in an early round.
However, I might lose if the other team has some powerful Rare and Common or uses Possibilus the Wise summoner.
My favorite line-up in the element is water where most units found are high in speed, If you want to use Water Line-up, please read over some of my blogs; they could be useful. 😊
