Happy weekend Splinter Friends , another exciting week for our favorite challenge that proves our worthiness in the battlefield.
For this weeks' challenge is the rule Holy Protection.
I had a hard time getting this ruleset , but thankfully it came in the middle of the challenge. So here is my featured battle for the challenge rule.
Battle Conditions
Aside from the challenge rule, this conditions are available.
- Armored Up - all units will gain two armor, making them more sustainable from melee attacks
- Stampede - the trample ability can trigger multiple times if a melee unit eliminates a unit
- Elements - only life and water is available, not that 2 of my favorite elements
- Mana - 28 mana is given , a very tight number for good picks,
Line Up Selection
With the given mana, a tight squeeze for a good picks for sure, good thing the core units are able to be laid in the field
With the armor up rule, a mage line up is expected.
Venator - with it's slow allowing my team for the first hits is already an advantage.
Baalkjira - the real tank for my team, with the heal and void those magic damage will surely suffer. My favorite water tank a tank and utility unit in one.
Deeplurker - a heavy damage dealer and with it's poison targeting the weak one a very clear advantage if not countered, also the demoralize is a big help to minimize melee damage.
Merdaali Guardian - the ultimate water utility unit, the repair and heal is what makes here a very useful unit not for tanks but also for backline units.
Angelic Mandarin - the silence will reduce magic damage to assist Baakjira and the triage heal for backline units, a very effective all around unit.
Merdhampir - a perfect combo for mandarin, with its Lifesteal that helps stack up health and triage combo makes him a sustainable backline unit. Also the cripple ability is very effective for any tank assisted with heals.
Battle Highlight
- with the slow from Venator only one unit from the opponent was able to hit first removing the holy shield of Venator. So both the primary tanks were eliminated , now the real battle of tank starts.
Thanks to t he silence of Mandarin all the magic damage of the opponents were neutralized, so with the void ability of Baakjira no damage will pass thru him, the only threat is Riverboat and his Affliction ability.
Also Merdamphir's Cripple is a good counter for the enemy Baakjira.
- Since the enemy tank is hard to penetrate , it's Deeplurkers job to target those on the backlines. As each round passes the Lurker slowly hits the right target making them weaker for every round.
- The Captain's Affliction finally took effect , but almost no damage is being done to Baakjira, so it not gonna be a problem, and still Deeplurker doing the eliminating game.
This round Baakjira finally had so little health that it was prioritized by Deeplurker. Not with their tank gone, it's only matter of time for the battle to be concluded.
- With only Riverboat doing real damage, my units chipped them little by little until there is no more left for them to fight .
Now that's another win for the books.
