As we all know in the recent update of the game ,we are now require to pay a fee for us to play in the wild format of rank battles . For beginners the wild format is where all card editions can be play, from the oldest Alpha Edition until the recent Rift Watchers. And also what separates the the modern and wild format is the usage of bot players , only wild format is allowed to use bot ,so to be able to play with bots you have to pay the wild fee.
So this post is gonna talk about which is better to use , DEC or Voucher ? Now let's make a comparison.
Every start of a season for a player to access the wild format they need to pay 2,000 DEC or 40 Vouchers . Now when this was introduced many players were complaining but there's nothing we can do since it is already implemented. So the only thing left to do is to find a cheaper way to enter.
DEC as entrance fee

Based on the swap option of Tribaldex, I placed the total DEC needed to to enter the wild rank format and as you can see 6.73 hive is needed that's around $1.46. So considering the rewards we are getting from this format I can say this is still manageable specially when you own your cards and SPS since fewer players are now plating this format the reward pool increase.
Voucher as entrance fee.
Now for players that rely on renting cards and SPS to be more profitable we need to look for cheaper options and this is where the VOUCHER come into play.
By just looking at the Hive value of the vouchers need you can already tell that it's the cheaper way, since it's more than half the price when using DEC. We don't know until when this price will stay because this will change anytime soon for sure . Voucher have a smaller supply so I think the price will soon increase until the value becomes par with DEC. So I guess for wild players you need to get this ASAP, remember another season will start tomorrow and another fee is required for the whole season.
You must be wondering why people bother playing in Wild and have to pay this fees, why not just play modern. I guess I can site some reasons why people including me still play in wild.
- Wild gives a better glint reward that can be used to purchase the current soulbound reward cards.
- For people that don't have much time to play in person, using bot is only available in wild.
- People love challenges, playing in wild makes the competition level higher since all card edition is playable.
- People want to play both format to be able to have a better win count, when you reach a certain level in the game the match up will tell you if you're deck is still competitive in that rating, so having both format will allow you to play in a more favorable side.
So that's it for my tip for those who are not aware of this, specially new players .
