It's a day after the March Town Hall and I can say that the future of Splinterlands looks very promising. It looks like the project will have a definite success regardless of what the bigger crypto market conditions are. That's all thanks to the strong community that's still supporting the game. With all the talks of new mechanics and special card foils, I decided to shift my focus mainly into the other half of Splinterlands, which is the land game.

Buying Grain Plots
I just recently bought my 21st land plot and it is a bog from the Rason Detiir region. I've been prioritizing grain producing plots lately thinking that it will be one of the most essential land types in the long term.

But one crucial aspect that I haven't factored in when initially buying my plots is the worksites already built in them. Even if I buy a plains, if there are no grain farms established there yet, I would have to cough up 1.5 million grains, not to mention the weeks needed to wait for its construction. So buying grain plots that already have farms in them is the most cost-effective way to approach it. By the time I factored it in my buy criteria, I only managed to get five when I should have chosen them for all grain producing plots I bought throughout the months.

Finding Workers
Another dilemma that I have is acquiring monster cards that would work through my plots. Gold cards are the most ideal candidates for this but thanks to Survival mode, demand for even the most unused cards is now surging. The floor price for gold foil cards are steadily rising and I expect it to grow even more in the following weeks. It might even come to a point that it's better to open Chaos Legion packs and hope for multiple gold pulls.

Choosing the farming life is my new career path in Splinterlands. I might still play the occasional ranked battles, guild brawls, and tournaments, but my main focus now is getting my land plots running, steadily increasing my passive income. I'm excited for what land resources would be utilized for in the future and glad that I now have my position.
