I can still remember the feeling of the last crypto bull market and what it did for Splinterlands and the larger web3 gaming space. The game assets appreciated in value to incredible levels during those times. And like how many things in life goes on a cycle, I firmly believe that the bull market is coming very soon. And while I'd like to spend enormous amount of capital to back up my claims, the truth is I have limited resources to spend at the moment. So what are the steps I make to prepare myself for the future? Here are some ways.
Stacking SPS Daily
Splintershards has recently been in a slump and probably bottomed in an all-time low. And from $0.004 a few weeks ago, it has slightly recovered and now trades at around $0.006.
And since SPS is the standard representation of the game to the broader crypto community, this nice uptick is a positive indicator. The team has done a good job of reducing token inflation and trying their best to restart the DEC-SPS flywheel. And with this, I try to buy more tokens whenever I can, even if it's just a dollar or two each day. Hive rewards from blogging and other games are what I primarily use to increase my holdings.
Submitting Guild Brawls
Because the game is in a low point right now, not many players are doing guild brawls as well. And this is an excellent opportunity to increase my merits as well as an extra source of SPS. Gladiators are one of the hardest cards to level up and getting easy wins from brawls should not be missed.
Increasing Battle Wagons
One of the most overlooked assets in Splinterlands in my opinion is the battle wagon. And while I'm not actively participating in the current Conflicts system, the team did say that it will still be utilized in the future. And wagons right now are just $0.60 each. However, the ability to purchase them through vouchers will soon end. I managed to secure a dozen wagons and it's better to have them now than be forced to buy them at $10 in the future if need them.
Buying Land Plots
Finally, the land plots are one of the assets that I want to prepare myself for. They are currently in a very low price point and are surprisingly rare in quantity. With just 150,000 in total supply, they will soon appreciate in value once more features are released. The land game sure is an exciting new project and I want to be ready for it too. I have six and acquiring more for my region is a little pricier than in other assets. But buying one every two weeks should be doable for me.
So those are the things I am personally doing to prepare for the Splinterlands revolution. Time will tell if my decision to stay will be worth it but I really trust that the community can pull through this bearish market and shine once again.
