Limited Rental Market?

With a new season I have been racking in a decent amount of DEC. This happens because I am renting out a lot of my unused cards and its a new season where players are renewing the card rentals.

As I was adjusting some of my card rentals by comparing to similar cards renting out on the current open market I stumbled on something that fascinated me. This is where there were not many competitive modern cards available to rent.

For instance there are less than 60 epic max level regular cards from the Rebellion series that are available for rent.

Then there were barely 40 epic max level regular cards from Conclave series that are avaliable to rent. To think there were thousands of active players one would imagine there would be more cards across the board.

In total a max level of Conclave and Rebellion combined there are only 751 cards currently available to be rented.

This is leading me to believe the slow rental market has something to do with lack of cards available to rent. The players in modern league are basically owners of their cards.

Some quick numbers from Splintercars on how many cards are currently rented, which came out just shy of 38k cards.

By comparison there are still over 37k cards in the open market. Cards in wild league include Rebellion and Conclave which really means if 38k cards are rented out and 35k not, there is not many cards left available to rent.

Meanwhile holders of cards maybe using them to play rank battles or stack in land plots for production. Bottomline not many active cards being rented even though there is potential of larger pool of cards in the rental market. Could this bottle neck of lack in available rental cards be changed? On the other hand it is really good to see both open market buy/sell and rental market low in the amount of cards. There seems to be more diamond holders now and considering this is the crypto space having this many holders is rare.

It's an interesting thing to consider. I guess it just means that there aren't enough cards, and I wonder just how many of them are used in land

I am surprise by how many diamonds hands. So much so they are not letting in enough new players to easily get established. Foundation is a good route but limited. There will have to be better ways to have more cards switching hands. This was how the game rose in evaluation in 2019/20.

Due to the very low prices, we are seeing that people are becoming less and less interested in the project and in games like this.
