At the start of the season I decided not to partake in rank battles which lead me to leaving a ton of cards and staked SPS under utilized. I went ahead and use these resources to perform leases and steadily gain a few DEC here and there. My leasing of staked SPS surprisingly has been somewhat of a challenge. It took almost a full week before I could have majority of my staked SPS leased out at the lowest rate possible of 0.001 DEC. Any DEC yield at this point is better than nothing.
On my rental front I put out a ton of cards at higher level to rent but not all of them were taken up. Due to having to pay upfront season rental many of the cards I put out there have to be lowered in rates in order for tempt players into renting the cards.
It has been quite challenging to earn passively even though I am not really playing battles. I spend the time looking through the current card rental market and spreads on cards prices are all over the place. Without a stable rental market I am unable to gauge how much to rent out cards that would lead to consistent earnings. At the end of the day I need to lease the cards out first in order to earn anything so I have resorted to lowering prices as much as I can without losing my shirt.
Any card rent that is 1.5 DEC or below I simply don't rent out. There is a ton of them like max level reward cards. Even epics rewards at max level are not renting out so well at those rates.
I have a ton of Uraeus that I bought a while back almost at burn rate, but they just not getting the love when being rented. Before there were a handful going out but due to lowering of prices it just simply stopped.
I am tempted to sell them but with all the fees and the fact that open card market sales are falling it is difficult to pull in any kind of profit if I went with this approach. Then I was tempted to just burn the cards but on that front the DEC would not be as attractive as if I had the cards.
Simply to put it seems the overall markets and activities for rank battles are falling after the Conclave. What is interesting is that transaction activities are soaring. It may likely stem from the new Campaign setup the game has activities but time will tell. The free 38 cards and 1,100 Glint is great and the campaign teachers newbies how to play the game with all the basics mechanics of battles. I found it a bit difficult to follow since the names of cards have changed like in the Campaign no summoners and monsters, but its Achrons and Units.
Ending this post on a high note with the look of battle activities within just the last day compare to the past. With all the new roll outs it appears maybe just maybe the game is attracting a lot more attention from beginners to advance players in much better ways than ever before. If in fact these stats are real maybe I will be able to rent out my underutilized resources much more and at much higher prices.
