I was and still am never good at timing buys and sells at all. As the price of DEC has gradually raise relative to Hive I have been selling DEC only to see the price gone higher. One of my worst trades was selling my 1.1mil DEC back when it was at a rate of 0.004 Hive / DEC. Now almost 50% higher it meant that I lost out on potentially over 1500 to 2000 Hive more. Rather to get sour on this I have been trying to steadily accumulate more DEC by selling assets but recently again I sold that stash somewhere around 0.0051 Hive / DEC. Now with rates continue to rise I am becoming a believer that all things DEC is going to be higher relative to Hive.
Multiple factors is helping DEC continue to rise relative to Hive. One factor is the supply of DEC has trended down dramatically over the past few seasons. There is a slight rebound as each season progresses, but the end of season burns are getting higher to the point where accumulation is no longer keeping DEC circulation supply higher than each of the seasons.
Another factor is simply the game it self remains one of the most active apps on the Hive ecosystem. From arcange's latest monthly activities report on Hive ecosystem, the Splinterlands game holds close to 23% of all block chain activity. Now this is only over shadowed by the Hive-Engine activities staring at over 40%.

With land expansion continuing updates and the arrival of new cards production it will also lock up more DEC from players making demand for token greater while reducing circulation supply. A win win for DEC.
With this being said I will adjust and hold onto my steady accumulated DEC until I reach 100k. This will help boost my land resource productions and hold what could be a DEC to Hive value boom. It is difficult to see how DEC can fall back in value, but if Hive does bounce this narrative shifts again. For me it won't matter as I have already bought into a decent amount of Hive Power. Now is if DEC price does appreciate I can also try to take advantage of the upswing.
