For this week's challenge, I want to draw your attention to one of those Soulbound Conclave cards that, with a little luck and if you frequently visit GWEN'S GLINT SHOP, is sure to already be part of your SUMMONER'S SPELLBOOK. I am talking, as you can imagine, about MINDLESS THRALL.

Para el desafío de esta semana, quiero fijar vuestra atención en una de esas cartas Soulbound Conclave que, con algo de suerte y si visitáis con frecuencia GWEN'S GLINT SHOP, seguro ya formará parte de vuestro SUMMONER'S SPELLBOOK. Estoy hablando, como ya os podéis imaginar, de MINDLESS THRALL.
If we were guided only by the Lore of this card, it seems we would be facing or recruiting for our team something like a mind-wiped animated corpse, the result of powerful necromancy magic.
Si solo nos guiáramos por el Lore de esta carta, parece que nos estaríamos enfrentando o reclutando en nuestro equipo algo así como una especie de cadáver animado sin mente, resultado de una poderosa magia de nigromancia.
Like any perfect candidate to join the ranks of a dark army, it belongs to the UNDEAD bloodline. But to everyone's surprise, and with some in-game advantages, you won't find it within the Death element but rather it is one of those Neutral cards that you can use in different battles.
Como cualquier perfecto candidato a formar parte de las filas de un ejército de las tinieblas, pertenece a la línea de sangre de UNDEAD. Pero para sorpresa de todos, y con algunas ventajas en términos de juego, no lo encontrarás dentro del elemento Muerte sino que es una de esas cartas Neutrales de las que puedes echar mano en diferentes batallas.
Although you wouldn't initially imagine a zombie moving in a flash, this undead creature is fast enough, and from its first level, it already has the Phase ability. This allows it to even dodge magical attacks, much to the despair of our opponents when they see their attacks miss and have no effect as the dead advance.

The feeling of facing inevitability could not be missing in a zombie horde. From Level 4, it gains the Oppress ability, which allows it to harass and devour non-attack units it targets, doubling its damage. This is quite far off for me right now, as I only have a couple of copies in my possession.

But what would happen if we managed to level this card up to its maximum level? All its attacks would gain Relentless Strike (no chance of missing) and, with its boosted magic attack, it's easy to imagine why the dead making up Crainax the Quick's legions sweep through the Fenmoor Basin.

Even at the first level and in a minor league like MODERN Silver II, it can make a difference. For example, in the following battle, taking advantage of the Shades of Gray rule set, which only allows us to play Neutral cards, it is a perfect opportunity to include it in our team and put its true potential to the test.

My opponent was able to anticipate and partially counter my Archon's abilities with his own, in addition to using it in a quite imaginative way thanks to the Shapeshift ability on some of his units. He tried to divert my attacks with Taunt, something I was already prepared for with my small combo by giving the Fury and Trample abilities to VENKA THE VILE, the muscle of my lineup, which was seemingly more focused on magic attack.
Mi oponente supo adelantarse y contrarrestar en parte las habilidades de mi Archon con el suyo, además de usarlo de una forma bastante imaginativa gracias a la habilidad Shapeshift en alguna de sus unidades. I believe Mindless Thrall can be one of those perfect wildcards when Mana is not an issue in battles. And although it is a Rare card, it would be interesting to level it up to the maximum level within my league. Currently, I am playing in the Modern Silver league ranks.

Mindless Thrall creo que puede ser uno de esos comodines perfectos cuando el Maná no supone un problema en las batallas. Y aunque sea una carta Rara, sería interesante llevarla al nivel máximo dentro de mi liga. Actualmente, estoy jugando en la liga Modern en rangos de SILVER.
Como has podido ver, las cartas neutrales pueden ser desde una unidad versátil que puede ayudar a completar nuestro equipo hasta una base fundamental de nuestra estrategia.
