Happy weekend, Splinterlands and Hivers community! These first few days of July have been hot, but the good news is that we're officially on vacation from university, so I'm free from real-world responsibilities! And the first thing I did was dedicate my time and attention to the most recent guild battle we had, with excellent results that I wanted to share with you today. We'll also see our progress in Frontiers, searching for the epic Water class card that we use frequently not only in Frontiers but also in Modern! So without further ado, let's begin!

Estos primeros días de Julio si que han sido calurosos, pero lo bueno es que ya salimos oficialmente de vacaciones en la Universidad, así que estoy liberado de las responsabilidades del mundo real! Y lo primero que hice fue dedicarle mi tiempo y atención a la más reciente batalla de gremios que tuvimos, con excelentes resultados que he querido compartirles el día de hoy. También veremos nuestro avance en Frontiers, buscando la carta épica de la clase agua que usamos con mucha frecuencia no solo en Frontier, sino en Modern! Así que sin más demora comencemos!
There's nothing more comforting than dedicating yourself to Splinterlands tournaments without the pressure of work, plus I like to perform well for my clan. With this guild battle, it's the second cycle we've finished in first place, and this time I can't complain—I won 5 out of 6 battles! It's clear I'm finally on vacation!😅
No hay nada más reconfortante que dedicarte a torneos de Splinterlands sin la presión del trabajo, además que me gusta rendirle bien a mi clan. Ya con esta batalla de gremios es el segundo ciclo que terminamos de primer lugar y esta vez no me puedo quejar, gane 5 de 6 batallas, se nota que ya salí de vacaciones!😅

Our reward was 175 SPs, and above all, almost 13,000 in Merits! Both tokens are important, but the Merits are especially valuable to me since I'm still working on maxing out my Gladiator cards. So, we're going to buy a few Gladius Cases to continue strengthening our deck, but first, let's look at the battles I enjoyed the most in this Brawl session.
Nuestra recompensa fue de 175 Sps, y sobre todo casi 13K en Méritos! Ambos tokens son importantes, pero los méritos revisten una gran importancia para mi ya que aun estoy en proceso de maximizar mis cartas gladiadoras, así que vamos a comprar unos cuantos Gladius cases para continuar fortaleciendo nuestro mazo, pero antes veamos las batallas que más disfrute en esta jornada de Brawls.

Xulax Nightwind
The first battle I really enjoyed was using the Gladiator Xulax Nightwind. I've rarely used this card because, since I used to play in the Gold League, there were better options as a vanguard tank. But since I was relegated to the Silver League, I can now take full advantage of this gladiator, considering that only melee and ranged units are allowed. That's where the Astral Entity Archon shines, increasing the evasion rate of all our units and becoming a huge advantage. In the end, we achieved a flawless victory with this lineup.
La primera batalla que disfrute bastante fue usando el Gladiador Xulax Nightwind, esta carta muy pocas veces la he utilizado y es que como antes jugaba en la liga de oro, habían mejores opciones como tanque de vanguardia. Pero como fui reubicado en la liga de plata, ahora si puedo aprovechar este gladiador considerando que solo se pueden usar unidades melé y rango, es allí donde brilla el arconte Astral Entity que incrementa la tasa de evasión en todas nuestras unidades convirtiéndose en una gran ventaja. Al final conseguimos una victoria impecable con esta alineación.

The second battle inevitably had to be fought with Jaceck the Conqueror as the Archon. He grants us +2 speed, the ability to pass through defenses, and random attacks. In other words, I almost left this battle to chance. I just made sure to place Tinderlock in the last position. Besides reducing magic damage by 1, he also has the Close Range ability to attack from the front line and Last Stand, which allows him to boost his stats if he's the last card on the battlefield. And boy, was he decisive in this very close battle! I'll never regret investing a few dollars back then to acquire this important card.
La segunda batalla inexorablemente tenía que hacerse con Jaceck The Conqueror como arconte, nos brinda +2 de velocidad, atravesar las defensas y atacar aleatoriamente. En otras palabras casi deje esta batalla a la suerte, solo me aseguré de ubicar en la última posición a Tinderlock que además de reducir el daño mágico en 1, tiene también la habilidad close range para atacar desde la primera posición y también last stand que le permite aumentar sus estadísticas si es la última carta en el campo de batalla y vaya que si fue determinante en esta batalla tan cerrada! Jamás me arrepentiré de haber invertido unos cuantos dólares en su momento para adquirir esta importante carta.

I'll soon start using this Archon in my future Brawl battles. Dragonlord Mancer is a truly versatile card, and he's proven himself in Modern ranked. I already have Shen Xiao at level 2 and have used him in Brawls. Now I'm just waiting for a good price for this card so I can start using him first in Modern, and then, once I've mastered his abilities and the synergies of his lineage, we'll storm the Guild Tournaments with him.
Próximamente comenzaré a utilizar este arconte en mis futuras batallas Brawl, Dragonlord Mancer es una carta realmente versátil, en ranked modern ha demostrado estar a la altura. Ya tengo a Shen Xiao lvl 2 y lo he usado en Brawls, ahora solo estoy esperando un buen precio de esta carta para comenzar a usarla primero en modern y luego, cuando domine sus habilidades y las sinergias de su linaje, asaltaremos los torneos de gremios con él.

Okay, we spent 8,000 Merits for 3 Gladius cases. I'm not looking for epic or legendary cards at the moment, so if these packs end up being Standard—that is, 4 commons and one rare—I'll be more than satisfied because there are several cards of this rarity that are just a few copies away from being leveled up and finally reaching the top of the Gold League.
Bien, gastamos 8000 Méritos para 3 Gladius cases, no estoy en busca de cartas épicas o legendarias por el momento, así que si estos packs terminan siendo estándar, es decir 4 comunes y una rara estaré más que satisfecho porque son varias las cartas de esta rareza que están a pocas copias para subirlas de nivel y que finalmente estén al tope de la liga de oro.

Excellent, just what we were looking for! With these cards, although we didn't manage to upgrade any of them, we did get several of them just a few copies away from leveling up. Among the commons is Krash Wanderford, a card I love using with the Weapons Training ability. As for the rares, several are already close to reaching level 7, like Sarius and Alfredo, but the one I'm most interested in upgrading is Ajax Lightfoot, who learns the Phase ability and could evade magic.
Excelente justo lo que buscábamos, con estas cartas aunque no logramos upgradear ninguna, si dejamos a varias de ellas a solo pocas copias de subir de nivel, entre las comunes esta Krash Wanderford, una carta que me encanta utilizar con la habilidad Weapons Training. Mientras que de las raras ya varias de ellas están cerca de alcanzar el nivel 7 como Sarius y Alfredo, pero la que más me interesa en upgradear es Ajax Lightfoot que aprende la habilidad phase y podría evadir la magia.
Frontiers Update/Actualización en Frontiers
Now we move on to our Frontiers update, and I want to start with what I consider the best news I've received this week in Splinterlands: I managed to win a Black Foil card in the weekly Foundation card draw! It had been quite a while since I'd gotten one of these cards; the last time was a Life class card, but it was a Gold Arcana. In total I have managed to win 4 cards in this draw so far, 1 of them is a golden arcana, others are common black foil cards and my favorites: Time Bandit and Sherringham Logger which are rare black foil cards.
Pasamos ahora a nuestra actualización en Frontier, y quiero empezar con la que considero es la mejor noticia que he recibido esta semana en Splinterlands y es que logre ganar una carta de lámina negra en el sorteo semanal de las cartas Foundation! Ya tenía bastante tiempo sin conseguir una de estas cartas, la última vez fue una carta de la clase vida pero era dorada arcana. En total he logrado hasta ahora ganar 4 cartas en este sorteo, 1 de ellas es dorada arcana, otras común de lámina negra y mis favoritas: Time Bandit y Sherringham Logger que son cartas raras de lámina negra.
And of course, we haven't stopped spinning the daily prize wheel! Lux's Favor has become an interesting way to get more prizes, whether you're just starting out in the game or a veteran player like me. My last few spins have given me a decent amount of Sparks, although not as much as I'd like. We're almost halfway through July and I'm far from reaching 20,000 Sparks, so I can say I never had a chance to buy the special Aurelia skin. The good thing is that some spins have earned me energy, which has helped me complete the daily missions in Frontier.
Y por supuesto, no hemos dejado de girar la rueda de premios diario! El Favor de Lux se ha convertido en una interesante forma de conseguir más premios, ya sea que estés empezando en el juego o seas un jugador veterano como yo. Mis últimos giros me han brindado una importante cantidad de Sparks aunque no tanto como yo quisiera, ya casi estamos a mitad de Julio y estoy lejos de llegar a los 20K de sparks, por lo que puedo afirmar que nunca tuve oportunidad de comprar la skin especial de Aurelia. Lo bueno fue que en algunos giros he ganado energía que me ha ayudado a completar las misiones diarias en Frontier.

As for the rewards from the daily missions in Frontier, unfortunately, no Legendary cards appeared, and the Epic cards that did weren't Water cards, which are the ones I desperately need. But on the bright side, I have to admit that some Golden cards and a few Archon cards appeared, and I'm starting to upgrade a new group of these cards to use in the Survival format.
En cuanto a las recompensas de las misiones diarias en Frontier, lamentablemente no salió ninguna carta legendaria y las épicas que salieron lamentablemente no eran de la clase agua que son las que necesito con urgencia. Pero por el lado bueno debo reconocer que aparecieron algunas cartas doradas y unas cuantas cartas arcontes que estoy comenzando a upgradear un nuevo grupo de estas cartas para usarlas en el formato Survival.

Time is running out again, and I urgently need the epic Foundation water cards. So, I'm planning to sell these golden cards I got and one of the epics to buy the remaining epics directly from the market. I want to max out these cards because I'm starting to encounter opponents in the rankings with maxed-out extra cards, and I haven't gotten any of them yet. I'll definitely have to buy these cards if I want to keep climbing the leaderboard.
Nuevamente el tiempo me esta alcanzando, y necesito con urgencia las cartas épicas Foundation de agua, por lo que pienso vender estas cartas doradas que me salieron y una de las épicas para comprar lás épicas que me faltan directamente del mercado. Quiero terminar de llevar al máximo nivel estas cartas porque ya en el ranking me estoy comenzando a encontrar oponentes con las cartas extra al máximo y hasta ahora no me ha salido ninguna de ellas, por lo que estas cartas si o si voy a tener que comprarlas si quiero seguir subiendo en la tabla de posiciones.

Well, friends, once again Asel Alagosdil remains elusive for another week. I hope two things happen next week, that I get the other golden copy I need, or that the cards I just put on the market sell so I can finally buy the remaining copies of this card. Or maybe I'll even get a black foil version of it! That would really make me happy, although I know these cards aren't very useful in Lands. Bien amigos, una vez más Asel Alagosdil sigue siendo esquiva una semana más, espero que pasen 2 cosas la próxima semana, que me salga la otra copia dorada que necesito, o que se vendan las cartas que acabo de poner en el mercado y así finalmente comprar las copias que me faltan de esta carta o también que me salga una versión de lámina negra de esta carta! Eso si me haría realmente feliz, aunque sé que estas cartas no tienen un uso en Lands, si generan beneficios si las usas en Modern y esta es precisamente una de las cartas que más utilizo, pero ya veremos como nos va la semana que viene.
