RE: Mort the Shit Manager: Writer's Block, AI and The 'Brands' Future...

Thanks for the compliments. I never really know if what I write entertains, or its my stash that gives me the unwarranted attention. My family won't even read this stuff, maybe too gross for them?

With Mort, I have just left it.., the nagging feeling that I have unfinished work always comes back to me in the end. The last sentences I did were part 2.., but they are a little uninspiring to my mind still.

Sort:

That's the main problem I find, when I force myself to write when in the midst of a writers block, I feel that what I'm doing isn't great, but then after continuing a bit further I find the inspiration and completely flip that.

The grosseness is one of the things I like about your writing, it's fairly unique compared to most of what is typically written here and kind of reminds me a bit of Leage of Gentlemen, Psycho-Ville, or maybe even Little Britain. In the gross out sense of humor.

But, at the same time, as I said previously, the descriptions are really vivid which is one of the main things I struggle with, with my writing. I'm good at Dialogue and world-building, but find it hard painting a clear picture.

It would be a shame if you found that you had to shelve your writing on account of a block, and I just wanted to let you know that everyone goes through it at some stage. Hopefully I was able to help in some way, all I can really suggest are things that helped me, but there are plenty of people on YouTube who probably have better suggestions

My family don't read any of my stuff either lol, I often talk to Aimee about the stories; she thinks its interesting, and cheers me on, because she knows I like it, but isn't much of a reader. I've had some great responses from people here though, as well as help and critism which have been great, and helped to improve my writing.

To be honest, last year, I kind of gave up on Hive and one of the reasons was that for every genuine comment, there were ten generic 'great post' comments and my stake wasn't too high, so I can imagine it would be way worse for people with much larger stakes. It wrecked my head, and I'd honestly rather no comments instead of botish ones. There were a few other things I was annoyed about, but that was a big one for me then

A great reply! I am not giving up, in fact these types of comments tend to give me a kick up the arse a little. I followed you yesterday so will be watching your content too, and yes.., there's a lot of tripe on here, just be choosy on who you follow.
