RENACER
Es verano, pero aguardo el invierno;
porque en invierno renazco
y a través del rocío me salgo de los ojos
y contemplo las rosas en cristales distintos.
Y si estuviera en invierno, aguardaría el verano
aunque la flor se marchite y la hoja caiga;
porque en verano renazco
y a través de mis ojos le regreso el rocío a las rosas
y las contemplo con mis propios cristales.

It is summer, but I wait for winter
because in winter I am reborn
and through the dew I come out of my eyes
and contemplate the roses in different crystals.
And if it were winter, I would wait for summer
though the flower wither and the leaf fall
for in summer I am reborn
and through my eyes I return the dew to the roses
and I contemplate them with my own crystals.
