Greetings!
It takes a little extra work to shoot this mini dragonfly, yes. That's because this animal is very small and really wild. I was very challenged for this, with a smartphone camera and macro lens it's actually not necessarily enough to get a picture of an insect as wild as this mini dragonfly. The closer I get to it, the wilder it is, moving from one side to the other.
Maybe you can imagine how macro photographers (smartphones) work to photograph wild objects but have to be very close to the target. It's very very difficult. Sometimes we even have to hold our breath for a while, because the slightest carelessness can fail the target.
This is 1000 times more difficult than photographing macro objects or non-wild objects, such as flowers, mushrooms or types of insects that are a little more familiar to our existence.
Although challenging, it's interesting and finally I got this mini dragonfly with a few shots. very small, but it's really beautiful with such beautiful motifs and a mixture of several bright colors.
This is the smallest dragonfly species I've ever encountered and I managed to capture it in a macro photography display.
