Hello #Hive visual friends!... Well, as those of you who follow my #Hive content have been able to appreciate, here we are in ‘macro photography season’... The rains and increased humidity accompanied by intervals of intense sunlight, have brought as a consequence an already very palpable grow in the quantities of bugs, flowers and many other things... So here I am to capture all this with my camera, have fun editing and then share it with you!...

I do this type of photography from a very non-academic point of view, as my macro photos are not exactly to show the characteristics of an insect or a plant as if it were a photo for an entomology or botany magazine. No, this is more about my desire to take photos that seem abstract, atypical, a bit ‘crazy’ and often very representative of how I like to see my environment both in nature and in the surrounding streets...

Wow, there really are things around to photograph using my old 100mm macro lens!... These photos today for example, I took them all in the gardens at home... A relatively small space, but there seems to be a photo at every turn!... That's another of the advantages and the fun of taking photos like these, as they allow you to exploit the time in a surprising way, being able to achieve a large number of very diverse images in a very short time... This time I preferred to share all of this with you by doing colour editing!... Sometimes Mother Nature itself reclaims its colours even in spite of my already known ‘deep monochromatic addiction’ and today is one of those days... ;)

What beauty!

#2 looks like hair on someone's hand (of an alien?).

Hahaha :))... Well, the reality is that it is a kind of "carnivorous plant" that my wife has at home (same one in photo 01)... So it is still a strange thing!... :)) Thanks for stopping by and appreciating my macro photo work @x-rain friend!

!VSC

😎 Probably, I know this plant. It looks like a cactus (but it's not a cactus), like fingers growing from the ground. Don't remember the name. The smell isn't lovely, attracts flies... Perhaps.

Yes @x-rain friend! you are right! :)) I have asked my wife and she tells me that it is a succulent called "Carrion Flower" because of the smell it gives off... I have 7 cats and 4 dogs, my sense of smell can withstand anything, that's why I haven't been too worried about taking a macro photo of this hehehe :))... And growers know this one as Stapelia!... Thanks for comment! ;)

Hey! wonderful pictures my friend, nature gives us beautiful textures, we are privileged who stop to admire them, greetings...

Glad you like it @gabrielacarrasco friend!... thanks!

mesmerizing as always. You share the beauty of the subject, a different way from the macro photographer who usually try to get the details.
so awesome my friend.

Thank you very much for this motivating and valuable comment on my work @ekavieka friend!

Every one of those pictures is beautiful.
I've always been fascinated by macro-photography, I never understood how it worked.
Yesterday, I tried something with my mobile, and although it's unprofessional, I liked that I tried(you get that?)

Editing is where I go blank. I find it so difficult.

Hello @cheeamaka friend!... I think that if you want to take macro or close-up photos with your phone, it is highly recommended to use an additional macro lens that is fixed (clipped) in front of the phone's camera... Regarding editing, I know very little about the actual software for this... I am a kind of photographic "dinosaur"!... hehehe :))... I do everything with my photos in RAW format and editing in Adobe Camera Raw and if later I need something in the photo in JPG, I do it with PhotoShop or PhotoScape, so I only use PC!... hehehe... This sounds quite "artisanal" for 2024!... Thank you very much for stopping by and appreciating my work, good luck to you in everything @cheeamaka friend!

The images are so beautiful
You never cease to amaze me
The 8th image looks like a mosquito shark in my eyes😂

I don’t even think I have a favorite because I’m unable to point out which one is nicer because they are all beautiful

A master of macro photography! This genre can be a little addictive, right? I've been thinking about buying this... What do you think?

Beautiful shots, as usual @jlinaresp friend!

Oh @dimascastillo90 friend, this Nikkor Micro 40mm optical piece is very good, I once had the opportunity to try one and the result is excellent in terms of definition and sharpness, it also has a precise and relatively fast focus... Also, it is a versatile lens whose handling and advantages may resemble the traditional Nikon 35mm but providing the additional advantage of being able to make macros, it also works for wide-angle street photos and even for some close-range portraits of about 55-60 cm away from the subject... You can use it for almost everything at f/5 and still get good bokeh and light management...

Something to keep in mind: At the time I did not buy that lens due to its working distance which seemed a little long to be a macro lens (0.53m as I remember) because I was looking for something to get closer to the insects and I found the Tokina 100mm with a brutal working distance of 30 cm... But that cost me twice as much money!... :(

When you buy a lens to do macro, it is important to consider the minimum working distance, this will make you closer to the subject (and in photography always "closer is better") and need less cropping or resizing when editing/ process...

The AF-S Micro 40mm have a big brother, the AF-S Micro NIKKOR 60mm with a "ridiculously impressive" 18.5 ctms working focus distance!!!... A optical miracle in my opinion... But this lens is over the 300$ price! :( Too much for my and my "Venezuelan economy" hehehe ;))

I am at your command for any additional questions...

Thanks for appreciate my work friend, have a great weekend!
