Hoy quiero comentarles mi primera experiencia tatuandome.
Desde muy chica siempre quise realizarme tatuajes pero por cuestiones de edad, miedo de mi madre a que no me aceptaran en algún puesto de trabajo por el tema de la discriminación.
Durante muchos años anhelé poder dejar algo plasmado en mi piel y después de perder a dos familiares muy importantes en mi vida, sabía que si quería dibujar algo en mi piel, tenia que representarlos a ellos.

Today I want to tell you about my first tattoo experience.
Since I was very young I always wanted to get tattoos but because of my age, my mother's fear that I would not be accepted in a job because of discrimination.
For many years I longed to be able to leave something on my skin and after losing two very important relatives in my life, I knew that if I wanted to draw something on my skin, I had to represent them.
Un día que asistimos a una feria de arte, unos tatuadores colocaron una oferta de ''2 tatuajes por 10$'' y realmente era un precio muy bueno.
Después de mucho meditarlo, llegó el día y yo con muchísimo miedo, tomé finalmente la decisión de hacerlo y me senté en la silla.
Elegí dos imágenes en Pinterest de lo que quería hacerme, consulté con mi mamá, con mi novio y lo hice. Mi amiga estaba ahí para darme las palabras de apoyo, mientras se reía de mis caras de pánico.
Debo admitir que el tatuador fue muy amable y paciente en este proceso, de verdad que estaba aterrada. Soy super cobarde con las agujas y paranoica con los germenes y enfermedades.
Las dos imágenes que escogí fueron: Una bailarina de Ballet que representa a mi tía, quién en sus años de juventud dedicó mucho empeño a esta hermosa disciplina y es la razón por la cual amo el baile y por la que inició la idea de crear una Academia de Artes. La segunda, una trompeta; esta representa a mi abuelo, quién en vida ejerció el papel de padre para mi y mi hermano y que fue el mejor trompetista, guitarrista y pianista que he conocido y si por alguien corre amor por la música en mis venas, es por él.
One day when we attended an art fair, some tattoo artists had an offer of ''2 tattoos for 10$'' and it was really a very good price.
After much pondering, the day came and I with a lot of fear, I finally made the decision to do it and sat in the chair.
I chose two images on Pinterest of what I wanted to do to myself, consulted with my mom, my boyfriend and I did it. My friend was there to give me the words of support, while laughing at my panicked faces.
I must admit that the tattoo artist was very kind and patient in this process, I really was terrified. I am super cowardly with needles and paranoid about germs and diseases.
The two images I chose were: A ballet dancer that represents my aunt, who in her youth dedicated a lot of effort to this beautiful discipline and is the reason why I love dancing and why she started the idea of creating an Academy of Arts. The second, a trumpet; this represents my grandfather, who in life played the role of father to me and my brother and who was the best trumpet player, guitarist and pianist I have ever known and if anyone has love for music in my veins, it is him.
El proceso inició y si, fue doloroso. No pensé que dolería tanto, pero por mis tatuajes lo soporté y creo que lo volvería hacer.
El proceso a pesar de que fue doloroso, fue agradable, mi amiga y el tatuador conversaban bastante conmigo para distraerme y que no pensara tanto en el dolor.
Colocaron el gel, luego el dibujo encima, dejaron marcada la guía y comenzó.
The process started and yes, it was painful. I didn't think it would hurt so much, but because of my tattoos I endured it and I think I would do it again.
The process, even though it was painful, was pleasant, my friend and the tattooist talked to me a lot to distract me and to keep me from thinking about the pain.
They placed the gel, then the drawing on top, marked the guide and started.
Escoger el Tatuaje de la trompeta fue muy fácil y muy bonito, pues el dibujo en el centro tiene unos detalles y parece una ''M'' que es la inicial del nombre de mi abuelo, así que lo vi y dije: Es perfecto.
Choosing the Trumpet Tattoo was very easy and very nice, because the drawing in the center has some details and it looks like an ''M'' which is the initial of my grandfather's name, so I saw it and I said: It's perfect.
Espero pronto poder dejar mas marcas bonitas en mi piel y que esos dibujos puedan contar parte de mi.
