Hola amigos y comunidad de Holozing, espero estén teniendo un muy lindo día. Hoy continuamos dibujando y llevando a cabo el reto del Zingtober. Me encanta poder estar otro año más participando, así que vamos a seguir el calendario del Inktober para ver cuál es el prompt de hoy... ¡Y el prompt de hoy es Sting! Adelanto que, como no podía ser de otra forma, nuestro protagonista será alguna criatura tipo bicho, y una que hemos dibujado mucho. Si estamos listos... ¡Comencemos a dibujar!
The featured word for today is Sting, and I think “Sting” would be a great name for an attack used by any creature in the Holozing universe. I believe my favorite bug-type creature from Holozing is Cinella—her design is striking, with red wings and black spots, and I feel she hides great power within her small body. That’s why we’ll be drawing her in an attack pose. Cinella doesn’t have a stinger, but her legs end in sharp claws, and I believe she could pierce the skin of any enemy that threatens the natural balance of the forest.
With our concept ready, we begin the drawing—done entirely in Photoshop. I started with a quick sketch to define the body shape. The hardest part was imagining how she would attack with her little legs, but I think the result turned out great, and I’m very satisfied with this drawing. I used only a black-and-white palette and played with shadows and contrast. To avoid a flat look, I added a slightly abstract background using pattern brushes.

La palabra protagonista de hoy es Sting (picadura), y creo que “Picadura” sería un excelente nombre para un ataque de cualquiera de las criaturas del universo de Holozing. Creo que mi criatura favorita tipo bicho de Holozing es Cinella; tiene un diseño muy llamativo con sus alas rojas y puntos negros, además creo que oculta mucho poder tras su pequeño cuerpo. Por eso la dibujaremos en pose de ataque. Cinella no tiene aguijón, pero sus patas terminan en afiladas garras, y creo que con ellas sería capaz de perforar la piel de cualquier enemigo que dañe el equilibrio natural del bosque.
Así que con nuestro concepto listo comenzamos a dibujar, y lo haremos completamente en Photoshop. Primero planeé un boceto rápido con la forma del cuerpo. Lo más difícil fue imaginar cómo atacaría con sus patitas, pero creo que el resultado se logró con creces y estoy muy satisfecho con este dibujo. Utilicé solo una paleta de colores blanco y negro, además de jugar con sombras y contrastes. Para que no quedara tan plano, decidí agregar con pinceles de motivos un fondo algo abstracto.
