Two-spotted jewel beetle

in Nature Observer4 days ago

On a wide green leaf, there is a two-spotted jewel beetle standing gracefully and confidently on the leaf. The beetle is very calm there like a very experienced little actor on stage.

Its body shape is very beautiful, slender like a tiny metallic green bullet that reflects light from all directions. The two orange spots on its back are very eye-catching. The orange spots also managed to create a striking and luxurious artistic touch. The beetle managed to make me speechless, very beautiful.

At first glance, the beetle's body looks very hard like mini steel. But don't worry, the beautiful beetle is not a dangerous creature, it will not damage plants. In Latin, this beetle is known as Strigoptera bimaculata, which is one of the beautiful beetles from the Buprestidae family.

Hi. What a lovely and poetic way to describe that jewel beetle. I hear that's his name, I have to admit it fits him wonderfully. The images are fascinating. and yes, you are right it looks like a quiet little actor in its leaf. My insect knowledge is very scarce, if not nil, but your way of describing it has aroused my curiosity. Thank you for sharing this natural beauty.
