Tiger beetle

in Nature Observer2 days ago

The tiger beetle is one of the unique beetles I have ever encountered. Its color is very distinctive and attractive, metallic green combined with reddish brown. The pattern on the elitera is very unique, try to notice one of the spots of the pattern is shaped like love, a characteristic that is rarely found in other insects.

The antennae are also very beautiful, bluish black with a little metallic green. While the legs are shiny black combined with reddish brown and metallic green. I have never found a beetle that has unique characteristics like this before. This is truly an extraordinary encounter.

Strangely, this beetle never flies high and perches on plant leaves. He always plays directly on the ground surface. In addition, this beetle is an insect that is easy to find and approach, but he likes to act up. He likes to move from place to place which makes me almost crazy when I take pictures of him. But I won't give up so easily, I keep racking my brain to get the figure of this beautiful creature.

Another thing that is most interesting about this beetle is that its running speed is very fast. Seeing this beetle run is like watching an athlete taking part in a running race. It's amazing. In Latin, this beetle is known as Cosmodela aurulenta, which is one of the beetles that comes from the Cicindelidae family.

You're fortunate to have encountered and even photographed such a beautiful creature! The patterns on its back are interesting!

Yes, that's right. That unique pattern is what makes the insect look elegant. Thank you for your beautiful comment, my friend.
