Small damselfly

in Nature Observer9 days ago

Among the whispering grass, a small damselfly displayed her extraordinary grace. I found her standing gracefully on one of the grass branches. The damselfly was incredibly small. Successfully photographing her required extreme patience. Focusing on such a small insect is incredibly difficult. It's a different story if you have a lens specifically designed for photographing small objects. I think it makes things a little easier.

At first, I thought she was just sitting there. When I zoomed in, I realized she was enjoying a delicious meal. There was another, smaller insect in her mouth. It was most likely a mosquito. She sat there quietly, eating her delicious meal. She didn't move at all, except for her mouth, making no noise, let alone screaming. She was so calm, it seemed as if nothing was happening around her.

Forget about her meal for a moment, and now let's discuss the color of this damselfly's costume. Her entire body was bright green with a glossy black accent. The tip of its tail features a striking orange color, which, upon closer inspection, resembles a small, never-ending flame. A pair of clear wings, tightly closed and slightly raised, adds to its imposing aura.

A pair of green eyes, topped with shiny black, are ready to survey the world. Its legs are pale green with black accents. This contrasts sharply with its bright body color. It also blends perfectly with the grass stalks it rests on.
