Hello everyone, good afternoon.....
When walking in the park, yard, meadow or other open places, have you ever seen this tiny creature? I know many people pass by its beauty, considering its very small body like a needle. If we don't pay close attention, its existence will not be visible, especially its green color like the one I found, blending with the green background. Luckily at that time he was standing on a dead branch, so it was easy for me to see.
This is a damselfly or better known as a green-eyed damselfly with a black cap. In Latin, damselfly is known as Agriocnemis pygmaea, which is one of the small dragonfly from the Coenagrionidae family. This damselfly has a very beautiful and attractive body color. Bright green combined with solid black, what an interesting combination of colors that creates a striking contrast. A pair of large green eyes combined with black, according to its nickname green-eyed with a black cap.
Not to forget a pair of transparent wings decorated with a pattern of fine black veins, which makes its appearance even more graceful when standing on the branch. But there is one more thing that stands out the most from this damselfly, namely the tip of its tail is golden orange which also gives a touch of elegance to its long and slender body.
