In the world of insects, butterflies are one of the types of insects that get the most attention because butterflies have striking and unique colors and wing patterns. However, there are also some that often escape attention, one of which is the African straight swift butterfly or in Latin known as Parnara bada which comes from the Hesperiidae family.
This African straight swift butterfly has a very small body size and its color is not striking. It looks very simple but for me it is very beautiful, just like other butterflies in general that have more striking colors.
Many people think that the African straight swift butterfly is a moth because of its small size. But don't be fooled by all that, it is actually a unique butterfly. It has a fat body, thick feathers, a large head and eyes that look unique. Its antennae also look unique, the antennae are curved with rounded tips.
In addition, this African straight swift butterfly has an interesting flying technique, it flies at a sharp speed and occasionally jerks which makes it different from other butterflies. If observed closely, the flying technique is similar to the flight pattern of a small bird or bee.
