This plant is also known by various regional names such as widara (Sd., Jw.) or shortened to dara (Jw.); bukkol (Md.); bĕkul (Bal.); gol (Sas.); ko (Sawu); kok (Rote); kom, kon (Timor); bĕdara (Alor); bidara (Makassar); rangga (Bima); and kalangga (Sumba).
