A fungus with the Latin name Fistulina spiculifera that grows attached to wood. Generally on rotten wood, sometimes it can also grow on living wood.

Initially, this fungus is shaped like a small circle and becomes a widening plate when mature. It has various colors, one of which is reddish purple as I show here.

This fungus can also grow wider to reach the size of a medium plate. Some also call it liver fungus, because of its reddish color.
