The tree saga (Adenanthera pavonina) is a tree whose fruit resembles a petai (a type of pod) with small, red seeds. This plant is native to South Asia but has now spread pantropically.
The tree saga is commonly used as a shade tree on major roads. This plant is also easily found on beaches. Its leaves are doubly pinnate, like most other members of the legume family.
