Warm greetings to everyone, and i hope everyone is ok.
Ever experience one of those lonely, dull days?
One of those days, when you would stare long at the wall clock, Wishing it would move faster,
During those moments, what do you do to wad your mind off those lingering thoughts?
On one such days, i usually try exploring or experimenting things.
Anything to take my mind off the swirl of thoughts. This time, i decided to bead a bracelet for myself,
Not just any bracelet but a bracelet that would challenge my creativity and take my mind off some lingering thoughts.
One thing i love about this bracelet is that it was challenging.
I started over and over again just to get this perfect curves that you see here, and in the end, am glad i didn't stop half way and it also gave me the peace i was searching for.
I want to list the materials involved and the step by step process.
- pink sand beads
- white sand beads
- white pearls beads
- fishing line
- bracelet hook
First of all,i cut out a long fishing line (full length of a measurement tape).
I added seven white beads and a bracelet hook at the middle and tied it together.
I cut out the other end of the rope leaving the long side of the rope
Secondly: i used the fishing line to take 3 white sand bead, 1 pearls bead and 3 pink sand beads.
Using the end of the rope, i crossed one of the seven beads that i tied together. and that gave me a good curve (the pearls bead came to the middle while the sand beads formed a curve around it)
Next: i crossed the fishing round the seven tied bead to form stability.
After that,i used the fishing line to take 3pink beads and four white sand beads ,using them to complete my curve.
I also crossed the fishing line round the entire beads to firmness.
Next: using the rope, i pick another set of beads like i did before ( 3pink bead 1pearl bead and 3 white sand bead) forming another curve. but this time,i made sure the pink bead and the white beads were well arranged (the pink on the right and the white on the left and vice versa)
Next:i continued that same process till i got the exact size of my wrist.
I then used the fishing line to take seven pink beads (just like i took seven white at the beginning) and tied it to the other end of the bracelet hook .
Now my bracelet is ready
This bracelet wasn't as easy as i thought it would have been.
I had to destroy the first one that i was beading because it wasn't given me a clean curve, and i had to start all over again.
At some points, i had to remove some beads just because the white or pink sand bead was not going in direction i wanted it to ,and then i continued beading.
I love the experience that i got from this bracelet, i love the challenges i faced and most importantly, I'm glad i didn't stop half way and i got the calmness of mind i was craving.
I hope this little creation inspires you to explore things that give you peace and comfort on your dull and lonely days.
Thanks for stopping by.
Yours faithfully
