I have a couple of posts from a year ago where I do these repairs, if I can get to the link I'll share it with you.
The tip of that connector is the positive right side, the middle ring is the left side, and always the last ring that is closest to the cable is the negative of the connections.
I gave you a follow, pretty interesting posts you make, I'm a mechanic but I do not have
a lot of electrical knowledge..
There's also a microphone wire so it complicated things even more, I didn't wan't to start guessing and try things out.
