Fixing Old Mini Guitar

in Hive Diylast year

If you live with Toddlers or have kids you could relate to this that they really are attached to their toys . I remember me being really protective and attached to the Doll house I owned back in 2005 . It's cute when I see my Little siblings like that . With that being said Toys are mostly Plastic and they don't last long . Something similar happened with my Baby sister as guests came at our house and they had kids and you know how. Boys just like playing roughly so her favorite guitar got damaged and we'll she was heart broken so here is a little diy of how I fixed it for her . Obviously people with the same situation can take note on how I fixed the plastic parts . I felt like a surgeon in the process so let's get into the fixing.

So this guitar had like broken cords and the body was also damaged. Here is all the things I used to fix it . Some glitter , masking tape , nail acrylic glue , black nail paint , crafting wire (just for the cords ).

So the front had stickers but if in fixing it let's make it more cute and the 3rd slot you can see the body was pretty broken so I just taped it all up twice with a masking tape next on the hollow parts I applied acrylic glue but u can do super glue so the tape acts as solid plastic. This hack is best to fix broken plastic parts . I use it all the time.

Now the tape looked not that cute so I'm using a black nail paint to blend it out with the guitar body . I use nail paints to fix leather boots even like minor cuts and edges you can just find same shade of a nail paint and fix it . No one has ever noticed it so it's a great hack as well. Now I just have the guitar body all fixed before the cords I just wanted the front to look more pretty so I mixed 3 bottles of teal , green and silver filter and used glue to just paint the top part with glitter next I sealed it with some Crafting Clear glue .

I let it all dry . So for the cords I mean they had plastic screws so . I just used this crafting wire for the cords tightened it with screws and tbh it even sounded good .

My baby sister actually loved it more after it was fixed .

Thing is yes you can just buy it again but I remember when my mom used to fix my dolls . I remember her making those efforts just to see me smile and not all new toys hold the same emotional value . I believe there was another sentiment to it too as my mom fixed my old dolls that has changed my way of thinking , I try to fix things rather than. Completely give up and throw it all away . I think these core memories act in moulding your present life so it's not just diy .It's a life style and I encourage people to do it more

That's all for today Thank you for your precious time and support ❤️
