I recently worked on a fun project sewing plus size shorts using one yard of fabric for each. Someone made order of a few shorts and I got to work. Making shorts is one of the easiest things to sew once you have your pattern and cuts ready.
In this post I shared the steps I took in making these shorts after I had my cuts ready!.
I used one yard of material for each of this short, they were plus size shorts and I loved working on the project.
So making shorts is one of the easiest things to make. Here's a little explanation of how to sew short, that's after it has already been cut.
So I had my front and back stitch ready. I also had my back pocket and the lining for the front pocket ready.
So the first thing I do is to fix the front pocket

Next thing I did was join the two front pieces together to get the front part of the short
That was done and I put the back pocket to the back side.
Then I joined the two back sides. Locking them stitches very well
After that I coupled the short, that is I sewed the front piece to the back piece and then put the waist elastic band.
It took about two hours or less for me to complete these two shorts.
I was able to make two shorts with the material because I got two yards of the material. So one yard for each one and a small piece of the fabric was also remaining. Making this short was cost effective and also super fulfilling.
Shorts are a great place to start if you're just getting into sewing. In another I’ll be sharing how to cut the shorts from scratch.
Thank you all for your time here and I hope to see you all next time!
