As a crocheter, most people would think you get to make a lot of outfits for yourself, like beanies, dresses, and the rest, but I don't think that's entirely true. We rarely get to make outfits for ourselves, and here's why. Most of the time we spend making things for clients, or you love to give to a loved one, or just something random, but it doesn't end up staying with us because, I mean, there's always family to take it.

Now, here is mine. I finally got to make myself a beanie after three whole years of being a crocheter. Three. Yes, I'm not joking.

Now, the thing is, my man has a thing for beanies, so every single time I make one, he takes it. Every single time, without missing a beat. And I think he says it's an exchange for all the t-shirts I take, but I mean, who's counting?😅

Anyways, I finally got to make myself this beanie, and it was just in time because I recently cut my hair, and it was starting to get cold. My ears were very, very cold, so I had to do something about that. There was no more hair to cover my ears, so my beanie had to come in handy.

I made one for myself, and honestly, I like it because I've had my eye on this half double crochet ribbed pattern for a very long time, and I'm just happy that I could finally make it for myself.

I made it in less than a day because, like I said, it was very cold, so it wasn't something I was just randomly making. I really needed it because my ears were turning red.

When I finished making it, it was about afternoon, and you can see in the pictures that I tried it on immediately because it looked so pretty and I couldn't resist it at all.

Now, a quick backstory behind this. I had to pick a thick yarn, I think it was 7-ply or so, because I needed it hoooge, and I actually prefer it even thicker. I don't know, people keep saying to make warmers that are your size, but I think it actually produces more heat when it's baggy.

I don't know if that makes any sense, but if I make warmers that are my size, they just feel tight on my head. When I make them baggy, they actually help generate heat around my ears, and it stays warm that way for me.

I tried this on, and I loved it so much because it was so pretty, and yeah, that is it for me.

Have you ever had to make one so fast?
