For the longest period of time I've had my eyes on this cat ear beanie. To me yeah it just looks so cute and I always have cold ears so I think it's very useful for me and so every time I see these creators on my tiktok, Pinterest or Instagram making it and styling it so perfectly I am always like “I need one of those, fetch me oneeeeeee” 😅😅😅😅😅
And I love the plain ones yeah but they do not get my attention as much as this multicolored ones. The whole dark tone n light tone combination is to die for and if you've been here long enough you'll know that I am a crochet color gradient girlie. If that is an actual thing 🤣🤣
Anyways to cut the long story short I was going through my bags over the weekend. I came across scrap yarns in my room which blew my mind because I always leave them at the shop.
And thankfully there were four yarns three 3 and I had 2 black yarns. What could possibly be better than having more black yarn. [I love dark colors, mostly black so there's nothing as thrilling as this right now]
I grabbed my colors and my next issue was picking out a hook. You know that thing where you want it thick but also spacious a bit.
That was my dilemma. I used a 5.0mm hook (and it actually was the perfect hook size which made me wonder how many projects have I used the wrong hook size on) well that's something to ponder on. Lol.
This was perfect because I always use two strands of yarn since one is too thin for some projects I work on. Only with this yarn though.
I went straight to making this piece and I already came up with a Color combination for it. Black in between every color so it'll be multicolored but still mostly black. I git to some point and I was like oh lemme do a lil something here. I cut the milky and added black there.
It's in front. I don't know if I'm the only one but I add colors to a project in an irregular way except it doesn't belong to me. It just looks unique to me. I dunno why though. But it just feels better for me. Lol.
Anyways, I did that. Continued with black n green then I finished the project.
Timeeeeeeee for my photo shoot. Heheh I got these pictures of me and I'm proud of myself. I'm barely in front of cameras so taking pictures of myself recently has been a whole lot of work but then I'm actually slowly loving the whole process. I hope yall live this as much as I do
Things I used to make this multicolored cat ear beanie:
5.0mm hook
Stitch markers
4 40g yarns [ one cream, one army green and two blacks]
Scissors
Measurement tape
Ps: these pictures belong to me and we’re taken with my mobile device.
