Hello everyone, I’m so excited to share this particular project with you all. When my cat was pregnant, she never played with anyone except me. And even on days I wasn’t at home, she would climb my crochet shelf, push my yarns down and play with them.
I’ve been away from home for a very long time and by the time I came back, most of my yarn were tangled. I was little angry because I thought it was my brother who used them for one of his engineering projects but my mom to told me it was my kitten who did that.
I was surprised because my cat was literally doing the same thing when she was pregnant. And aside that, she’s very calm so I expected her baby to be calm when she grows up. But that’s not the case at all. Unlike her mom, he likes to play a lot and is also very energetic. No matter what I do, I always find her playing with my yarns so I decided to just crochet him a toy before leaving.
I actually forgot about it until I saw him get on my shelf to push down a whole ball of yarn to play with. I used some leftover yarns, a 1.60mm crochet hook and sewing needle for this toy.
I began by making 23 chains and then I built on it with single crochet in each row. In building this, I crocheted in the back loops of the stitches. I made 6 rows to get the size I wanted.

I then sewed the vertical ends together and then intertwined them to make the toy.

After making the toy, it wasn’t bouncing so I wrapped an old tiny crochet project and fixed it in the middle. And that fixed the problem.
Star with his new toy
He inspected the toy first before touching it and that was very smart of him.

I think this probably the most useful project I’ve ever done. As you can see in the pictures, Star is already very busy with his new. Anyway, my yarns will be left alone in peace now. Thank you for your time.
